I'm sorry I missed the awards. The last awards show was a lot of fun, I just happened to be out of town while this ceremony took place. Unfortunate for me, but I hope everyone had a good time without me. Congratulations to all the winners and runner ups. A lot of unexpected wins in there. A big congratulations to Mortician for his parkmaker spot. We love having you around and your win comes well deserved. mantis, you rule! how often do these awards take place?

i was at the awards it was fun, im glan Turtleman got the asshole award the last thing i want to see is QOUA? something 2002 happy, mantis winning Parkmaker of the year was a nice suprise, i had never seen Egyptopia ontill it won this then i DLed it opend the park and my jaw droped, Gila that was no suprise, wormwood was a good pick for RCT2 park (can someone please tell me were i can get this park but cork and fozzy?) and also i must say im sorry i was rude the whole time. its just me in a chat room with so many people i tend to go nuts im not sure why but i do and i was hyper that night.

I think they must take place every year, or near enough a year.

Best Parkmaker in the World

What is this award? I dont EVER remember voting for "The Best Parkmaker in the World". I voted for "Parkmaker of the year", which is totally different from Best Parkmaker in the World.

What I judge these titles mean:


Best Parkmaker in the World- Best parkmaker. Period.
Parkmaker of the Year- The parkmaker that has risen the highest and made the most achievment in this recent year.



Am I the only person here to have a problem with this change in titles I took them to mean totally seperate things.........





I am also a little annoyed that the announcment for the date of this awards presentation was made so close to the actual date of the presentation itself. I was only gone on vacation for a week, and in that little amount of time both the announcment and presentation took place without my ever knowing. If you want more people to actually show up for these things, you need to give them some time, and advertise a bit more. By advertising more, I mean that just looking at the home page you would never know that some big awards show was taking place. Spotlights and Survivor are displayed on the home page, wouldnt a bi-annual NE awards cerimony qualify as big enough to make the home page? Im not bitching or anything, but you guys did seem rather tactless in the presentation of this.

You have an extremely good point, it was year. But becaue somebody said it was worldm everybody followed it on. Yeah if it was world I wouldnt agree, I voted you because of the year you have had. Lol very good point butter..

Well, I went out of town Friday through most of Sunday, and the following week (next week) I am most likely going to have something that would have made it impossible to pick an actual date for the awards. I decided that instead of a month down the road, it should be the next week, so I gave everyone a little heads up to when they were, and we held them.

Best Parkmaker In The World is Parkmaker of the Year.
You basically have the premise right, so just think of mantis as "The Parkmaker Who Has Had the Most Achievements....In The World"
Since I feel that NE is undoubtably the home of the best parkmakers on the planet, the Best Parkmaker at NE therefore translates to Best Parkmaker in the World...for 2003. So mantis is 2003's Best Parkmaker in the World. Nothing more then that, he's not the best ever, best upcoming, etc. Hope you understand more clearly now.

And the last awards were 7 months ago, they will be held around this time period.
And then we'll have a new Best Parkmaker in the World

7 months? Wow, That was before aviator and I's AO Convention was released.

I see what Butta is saying, but i think that iris explained it well there. I have no problem with mantis winning, WOMB is incredible. I think I voted for Pyro myself, I mostly judged by the two parks he has released (and some stuff he hasn't, of course).

First, there is no such thing has Best. There is such a thing as favorite. Best is impossible, for everyone has different opinions. Mantis is not the best, because i don't think so. You may think he is the best, but now we have two different opinions, the best would mean that he rules above everyone else, but he doesn't, i don't think so.
Second, NE may have SOME of the best parkmekers, but i doubt we are home to the best. There is always someone better out there, always.

In most cases your probably true, but Im actually pretty sure that we have THE best parkmakers in the world. There are so many influences brought over here. The best from Danimation, the best from RCT Station, RCT2.com, and Thrill Network, and they all reside here now. Without people experiencing any of the above four sites, or NE, a parkmaker would be missing out on wayy too much to even compare to the NE Parkmakers. The best people have integrated here for one way or the other, and I would actually be willing to bet that there isn't anyone in the world that can compete with Fatha', mantis, you, RRP, Pyro, X, Ed, etc.

As for mantis being the "best" parkmaker at the site...he is.
I myself aren't calling him the best, neither are you.
But it's 'NE's Best Parkmaker", and since NE voted and mantis one...he is NE's best. New Element as a whole decided who it was, and their choice was mantis. Therefore, he gets the crown for 7 months (or longer if he wins again)
