Round 6 Wrap-up

 

Below, you will find the standings for H2H9 so far. The top two teams from each division will proceed to the semi-finals. Ranking is determined by the number of wins first, with the average percentage of votes as a tie-breaker.

 

Round Robin is coming to an end very soon. The first two teams have officially qualified: The Cereal Killers after their win over Logan's Run in the East Division, a huge blow to the latter, and the Tile Inspectors with their win over the Adventurers Club in the West Division. The Tile Inspectors are now the top ranking team, but the Adventurers Club is still ahead in terms of %. The Scream Queens overtook Logan's Run by getting their second win in a row against the Manual Laborers. Inthemanual's team is now sitting at the bottom of the table, with only two wins.

Round 7 Preview

Round 7 is the moment of truth. Which teams will emerge from the scramble? First, the Manual Laborers are up against the already qualified Tile Inspectors. While advancing is looking difficult for them, it's still statistically possible, depending on how the Adventurers Club fares against Logan's Run in Match 3. Logan's Run needs a win as much as the Adventurers Club; they're the lowest ranking team in the East Division, but their % is still ahead of the Scream Queens, meaning that a win for them and a loss for the Scream Queens will put them in the play-offs. The Scream Queens face the already qualified Cereal Killers in Match 2. In other words, there's something at stake in every match!

Not the strongest round, but it's all relative. Two great parks and four very good ones. That's still a good yield! The diversity in the submissions was great, I'd say. Round 6 stands out in that way.

Even from the short 10 or so minutes from writing my round 5 rankings to round 6 rankings there have been even more shifts. These parks are really hard to rank because each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
