Last night I had a dream. It was as complicated and weird as anything. It's actually come to be somewhat of a revelation. So I'll just begin.
The dream was about time. In the dream, I had some kind of disorder where in which time moved about 4 times faster than normal and this only happened to me. Everyone else was normal. But for me, an hour was 15 minutes and a day was 6 hours. I remember in the dream I looked at a clock and the second hand went around the entire clock in 15 seconds. I remember specifically looking at how the hand went between the numbers so quickly.
The weird thing was how everything (as far as time goes) was normal. Cars didn't drive 4 times as fast, people didn't talk 4 times as fast. Everything was normal except clocks and time in its simplest form. Then I wondered, maybe it's just me. Maybe in the dream, when I talked to people everything I said came out in slow motion. Maybe when I talked to someone for what would be a minute, should be only 15 seconds. I talk 4 times slower than everyone else. Now it's reversed.
I don't remember alot of this dream anymore, even though I woke from it 2 hours ago. But I forgot about it after I took a shower and entered reality. But it's coming back to my memory as I rest and forget about everything else. All I can really remember is watching the second hand of a clock going between the numbers so fast and I remember being somewhere, I think it was a school. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I guess I forgot the surrounding elements of the dream.
This dream made me think, what if time here, on this planet, is faster or slower than other places. Maybe if aliens came here and tried talking to us, they would think we move incredibly fast or incedibly slow. Maybe if someone from a paralel universe of which time was 5 times faster came here to find we move so slow. Or maybe it'll be to them what it was to me. Maybe everyone else will be fitted to your speed of concious and time even though the clock on the wall tells you everything is different.

You worry too much about things, or take things too seriously, and time seems to pass by fast for you. Your not enjoying life for what it is, and because of that, while everyone is moving normally, time seems shorter for you.
*that was far fetched but cool in it's own freaky way*
I had a dream in 8th grade where all my friends turned into blood sucking vampires, and one by one I killed them off. I remembered it in great detail actually. I didn't take any meaning to it, and neither did anyone else. In the end of my freshman year, I completley dropped all of those friends and *Started a new*...so it wound up having some meaning in my future. Kinda freaky. Maybe coincidental, but sitll very cool. -

That’s something to think about I suppose, but it sounds like a cool dream. At school it would be great to speed time up and then when you get home slow it down. Or whilst you’re working slow time down do like 1 area and speed it up and you have done 1 amazing area in about 10 minutes, would be very nice.
Hang on, I know Ozones tricks now. Ozone hand over the time speeder. -

weird shit man! im just reading the new bill bryson book and apparently time is actually a dimension and is not fixed at all, and u can slow time down by travelling thru space very very fast. theres a thought for you... -

H.G. Wells theorized that time was a dimension like height, width, and depth. Therefore everything has height of it's own, depth of it's own, width of it's own, and time of it's own. This theory is what led him to wright the "Time Machine" in which he talks about his idea. Interesting.

If a day was 6 hours that means the planet would be going around it's own axis in only hours. That would make a year shorter too. Which is physically impossible because Venus would be traveling the same speed as us even though we are farther away. Though, the planets in orbit would have nothing to do on how fast we move or talk, just how long a day or year is. So it would be unlikly anyway for aliens to come over and see we talk slow. Unless they can travel the speed of light which would take 4 years from the nearest star. And they would not think we are slow anyway since they might have no vocal chords, mouths or whatever so if a human talked slow they wouldn't know what slow or fast is in the human language. -

with the expection of Kumba's post, this is all known as 'relativity', something nobody truely understands, Enstien found/created this theory of relativity. -

I used to have a dream when I was a little kid that giant robots took over the world and turned Earth's entire food supply into noodles.
A strange sense of deja vu I had when I first played Pa Rappa the Rapper 2.
