people have been tlakin about like gettin in the ratings for the contest. Is there gonna be like an actual rating of all the submitted entries or how is that gonna work?


ANSWER: Nobody knows for sure, other then Iris how the entries will be rated/judged/revealed, etc.

Can we advertise our parks on another site, or is it strictly for NE?

No. It would not be for Dnet. I hardly go there anymore anyway. I think I'll just keep it here at NE.


ANSWER: We'd rather you left it strictly for New Element. But it's not like Iris can even access Danimation to see if you posted it there anyways, so it's your call really. Call it a test of faith or something. Plus, why would you advertise it at Dnet? Is there a point? If you're talking about RCT2.com, just apply the first part of the statement. Essentially, you are technically allowed to advertise your park at another site (remember, though, you can only show one screen, and it MUST be the same screen that you have shown at NE, if you have shown any at all), but if the judge(s) find out about it, it might put your park in an unfavorable position. It might be judged biasedly and negatively, so advertise at your own risk!!!

2. If a park is entered and doesn't place, does that make it released, or can it still be submitted for Runnerup?

3. Are we allowed to have anyone test the park for us?

4. Do you think I have a shot of placing in the top ten? That'd be nice.

1. No

2. All entries will released, whether they place or not. Therefore, they will not be submitted for Spotlight or Spotlight Runner Up.

3. No. No one except yourself can see your park. No one else can test. The only thing others can see is the ONE screenshot you post in the official screenshot thread. That is all. No one else may test the park (unless you have a sibling who wants to, but that's really a different subject).

4. No. You are the worst scum of the RCT universe and have no shot. Your entry will simply be used to meet the quota so that the winner will receive money, and that will be all. You have no hope to defeat the masters and should only try so as to ensure that the winner receives money from Raven.

Well, I was interested in just entering to help fill the quota, i don't expect to win







Okay, seriously, that's just a stupid question. There's no answer to that, because we don't know what you'll make. You might make something that sucks. You might make the most amazing thing ever. How are we supposed to know? Don't set yourself up for a flame or something like that, please.

5. Sure, you can have a ReadMe. It might even help you, though that depends on how integrated the ReadMe and the park are, etc... and the skill of the park, of course. A ReadMe can't hurt, that's for sure, unless you use it to cuss out Iris or something.

when will the results come out? (call me an idiot but i can't find the official rules thread in the announcements forum)


ANSWER: Currently, that is unknown. It depends on how many parks are submitted, how many judges will eventually be chosen, and the schedules of each judge. So basically, no one really knows, though they'll probably be up, by the latest, a month after the deadline.
