I knew there would be misunderstandings about how Babylon should be themed...I am going with how it would have been back then...so I guess we agree to disagree...I am not going to stop making my park just because some people dont think it is as good as another...
Adix: I see what you are saying but the theming does follow the name...and also the name you suggested is actually what Babylon is...a lost city of Mesopotamia...I think I will keep the name the same because I am making many things that were in Babylon...
Blitz-sama: I do have hills in the park and some land height variation...if you are talking about changing the land under the paths...I just havent done that yet, but will...and if you are talking about only having grass everywhere...I do have some sand around and might put in some dirt/grass patches here and there...hope I answered your question
I will post some more screens soon...with one that will show sand... -

I would agree with Glitchwolf and others who say it doesn't seem to fit the theme you are going for, but why do you only post two screenshots in one post? This isn't RCT2.com ya' know... -

The gardens with the waterfall is pretty. It looks alot like the picture of the Hanging Gardens. The isthar Gate looks pretty goo, and so does merchant. The color scheme of merchant looks off though. The red and white don't go well with the light browns of the wall, and the sand.

well, I was going to tell you the secret to great lanscaping. But if you say you have small hills, I guess it's good enough for you and my input is not needed ^_^.
Have a nice day and enjoy building your park.

JiMeMo: Maybe I will go back and try a couple things to "spruce up" my bridges
John: It does fit the theme...just maybe not what you think the theme should be...and I am just so used to posting two at a time...I guess I just did it without thinking about it...
Hevydevy: Yeah I'm gonna mess around with the colors some more...
Blitz-sama: Yes I'd like to hear the secret to great landscaping... -

The very last screen is fantastic, as is the one earlier of the multi-levelled waterfalls with raised gardens. Really great!
I must say I was a bit apathetic towards the 007 park when it was released...but this one looks like it might have a greater impact. I love the last screen - so alive!
Good Job. -

i dont know what babylon looked like but judging from the pics u posted it appears to be nearly all desert, but the park itself i agree is quite good, one problem u might hav is putting flowers and shrubs on the desert im not sure, but if it is then u could try putting earth underneath the garden parts, surrounded by desert and bits of grass? lots of ur buildings hav curves in - that pic u showed had loads of square roofs... i like the way the rapids go thru the building, it looks very good -

Here is a screen of some town area buildings...
I have been theming around the coasters and the rapids recently...once that is done I will work on the rest of the town and the marketplace...

It looks very nice..that goes for everything. Some of the colors might be a little harsh and bright if you're truly going for a babylonian theme, but it looks cool. The buildings in the village look exceptionally nice, especially the 'cluttered' look you have. The garden also looks totally cool, nice little theme you have there too. I have always liked the RCTI style, and this is no exception.
Great job, Austin. -

OK now first of all, that looks nothing like Babylon, it looks like a French Medieval village.
Second of all, for all of you people telling him that they don't look like the real hanging gardens....how the hell do you know.
No one has ever actually "found" the hanging gardens, and there is even some debate on whether or not they ever actually existed in the first place. All those paintings are pure speculation. The only reason they are included in the 7 ancient wonders of the world is because that list was written by a greek about 200 some odd b.c. (I think somewhere around there), who wrote about those, the Pharaos of Alexandria, The pyramids (the only surviving wonder), the Temple to Artemis in Ephesus, The Statue of Zeus, the Collosus of Rhodes, and the Mausoleum. We have found proof of existence for all but the gardens, but that gives good credibilty to the source.
What there has been is evidence of exactly what the Greek dude wrote about in Nineveh, the ancient capitol of the Assyrian Empire, and they think by some misunderstanding by the scribe, or author, or mistranslation or something, that they were actually in Nineveh.
There is proof they they could have built them in babylon, the ruins had the capicty, but no proof that they were actually there. They had plenty of Ziggurats like the one described in the Greeks text, but none that had any ability to keep plants alive in the desert (an uphill watering system) or any evidence of plant matter.
So ya, people who are bitching cause thats not what they looked like, you don't know what your talking about, no one knows what they looked like.
