The last few days I have been jumping off my shed roof, its a big shed and there is hard ground at the bottom. The thing that helps me is 2 things called "Mattresses". You get the fun in the air and a soft landing all at the same time, its very fun doing Max Payne style jumps off the edge. Maybe you could do it onto a mattress. Film some grass then use video editing to make the mattress into grass. Then when you actually land on the mattress whilst filming pretend you are in agony so it looks like you hit grass on the video. -

If you're not worried about hurting yourself go for, don't ask our opinions cause your just going to get shit, not that isn't what you were expecting because this stunt is so fucking stupid.
This whole topic makes you look like and attention whore.

I don't think you could get hurt that much however, my brother used to jump from high places all the time. It's going to kill your knees however, your body isn't ment to take that amount of stress. -

I heard theres a certain way you can land if your falling from a high place where you wont get hurt as bad, if at all...is this true? -

you got to be kidding me. at my old school they had retractible bleachers. below they had a really thick matress laying on the floor. I did a flip off the bleachers and I landed on my back on the mattress. I felt terrible pain in my back and it knocked the wind out of me. My back ached for weeks."Mattresses". You get the fun in the air and a soft landing all at the same time
You must not be jumping from a very high spot if you don't feel pain.
I sujest you find a place to jump off of that is near the road and place a big trampoline at an angle. have some of your friends hold the sides to keep it from wobboling. jump down onto the trampoline from your high spot and fly into the oncoming traffic. to make it even better time it so that when you jump you fly into the side of a semi-truck. -

he meant the kind of matress that goes on a bed, not the kind you do somersaults on. Those are "mats". -

No, I'm just wondering how you could break your legs jumping out of a first story window... guess you don't drink milk.
Oh well, see ya on Max X! That show's hilarious. Ever seen the Painfest episode? Guy tried a skateboard jump over one of those parking lot medians and landed wrong, feel on his left arm, which promptly broke in three places, turning it into a 'W'
That was sick. But they made fun of him for it. -

I did about a 12ft roof jump when i was about 7 (but onto grass) it did not hurt at all just make sure you touch the ground feet first and then bend your legs to take the impact and i think you should be fine.

A mat isn't there to completley protect you from hurting yourself.if a mat couldn't protect me then no matress will
I'm a male gymnast, and been around mats for years and years. Trust me, those bitches don't make you invinsable to pain. They are there to "soften" the landing of flips, if you land them right, or g et them close. Landing on your back isn't close to anything. They aren't designed to protect you from being stupid. If your trying a trick that you can almost get by yourself, without a spot, you use mats. -

i feel through the first story onto concrete when i was like 9.
Only got winded.

I'm with Flame.
Mats don't do shit - they only BREAK your fall if somthing goes wrong.
I did gymnastics for 7 years - I was even going too be trained for a team too go too the Olympics at some stage.
But i quit.
Lol.
I always thought i sucked (i knew i did too) - but seriously. Mats too shit all.
Bed of nails is quite nice and imaginative though, and the pain is quite evenly spread out if you land correctly so you don't feel much,

Why would I want to watch a tape of someone jumping, oh about two or three feet from their first story window to the ground? Why would someone even waste their time jumping out of a first story window? Go ahead, do it, you won't even get hurt at all.......I mean, you have a better chance of jumping on a mini tramp and then jumping off of it and getting hurt.... -

I jump out of first story windows all the time. That's 2 foot fall is really punishing. -

2 feet? tht isn't much at all but if you get hurt then you do. I would like to see this video, to see if you actually break anything from jumping 2 feet down. Still stupid though.
