I don't mind what any of these people stand for....if I kinda like the song then I like it.
I don't decide not to like it because they're a corporate machine or whatever...or they're not the genre I've decided to "stick" to.
That's why I think S Club 8 rock.
Come on, Automatic High? One Step Closer to Heaven?

Stoner-Rock is basically Mudhoney, after it had way too much Pot, LSD, and the like. Saying that, I don't mean the band either. I mean the music.QOTSA isn't metal. They're stoner rock. Whatever that means.
It takes the Punk-induced, scuzzy Blues of Mudhoney, and filters it through the most wondrously fucked up, drug induced lunacy imaginable.
Or rather, thats what it is in theory. In actuality, Stoner Rock rarely reaches such amazing highs, but still kicks ass.
Although really, their latest CD is nowhere near druggy enough to be Stoner Rock. Its just, um, uh, something. Post-Grunge Pop "Alternative" might be a good description, but that usually describes bullshit - and I don't think its bullshit nessecarily, not great, but not bullshit.
Anywho... The Deftones are Metal, but NIN isn't really. I mean, its more of a severly watered-down and sugared-up EBM, with Guitar riffs used more as another sonic element, not the musical foundation (unlike Metal).
So, yeah...
S Club 8? What the fuck? I don't think we have them over here (which is probably a good thing).
I mean the record industry over here is loosing tons of money on major investments on UK Pop acts, which don't even begin to pay off. I think one label made a multi-million dollar deal with Robbie Williams, only to have his CD debut at number 40-something, and then quickly drop out of the top 200.
And Atomic Kitten hasn't even faired that well, too bad too seeing as they both released solid pop albums (even if there isn't anything of much artistic merit on either).
But whatever, this topic is on 50 Cent, who as I've said, sucks ass. Although an Underground Hip-Hop show here in Tampa (actually its more of an overly-commercial but unsigned Hip-Hop show, with a lot of Mixtape and Bootleg stuff) played a song by 50, I thought was pretty good.
Too bad his rhymes and flow got in the way, and shit, yeah. Beat was purdy though... really purdy. -

Seriously, you should download some S Club 8. They were S Club Juniors until S Club 7 broke up.
So now they've been promoted, i guess.
Robbie Williams is alright. Let Me Entertain You, Angels, Millenium and Feel were pretty good songs. He's a bit of a shithead though.
Atomic Kitten.....their old stuff was better IMO, although Whole Again is definitely their best song. But stuff like 'Right Now' just kicked ass....
It's the same with the Sugababes. Old stuff a lot better than new stuff.
Oh well.
As long as I can sing along without cringing i'm fine.
Westlife I CANNOT stand. -

Remember when Brit-pop meant primarily acoustic rock and not bubblegum pop with British weirdness (stupidity).
Also, to expand on what Gardner said, Queens of the Stone Age's "Rated R" is a good example of Stoner Rock, better than "Songs for the Deaf" anyway. Listen to The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret. It's a good soundtrack to watching Bond movies with Phil. -

I voted for awesome, although he is far from it, he definetly isnt shit. I'd have to say my fav' rapper is biggie, im sorry but IMO he is better thant pac (dont wanna start no flames), although i think pac's raps make more sense I think biggies flow better, and are more impressive.
As for Ja' rule, personally I hate him, he's a wanna b dre. He's a slow rapper and he really forces it out so much that it sounds un-natural at times, yea he's got some good tunes but those that iv heared on the majority are shit, and his good ones are carried by other people like Ashanti or J-Lo. But we all have preferences so wot ever.
'Eminem is the best rapper', kinda agree, he is an absoublte inspiration to me, he sounds so flowing, his voice is always in the right tone, his rapping is generally serious, but not to the extent of others and his albums alternate from deppressing to foolish. His best album is the eminem show, i mean every song on that album is amazing (apart from 'my dads gone crazy') and like i said it has some good solid 'want to shout to' songs like till i collapse to the fooling around and 'songs to sing wen ur happy' like without me and square dance. Looking forward to the new d-12 album comin out.
Whats this shit about rammestein or wot ever they're called. they make me laugh, when ever somebody mentions them i picture those germans dancing in kevin and perry go large.
But yea, biggie owns, i generally agree with everythin irsi said, oh and btw the blueprint two is one of the greatest albums iv ever heard, and if you want another 'unheard of' album i suggest no way out by p. diddy.
Shit that was a long post.
