ya know i was pretty disingenuous with parts of my argument
Biology determines your sex, societal interpretation on biological queues determine your gender. That's why in order to change from one gender to the other, you'd have to go through intense cosmetic and hormonal changes. Traditional transgenderism does not hurt or affect the nomenclature nor the value system in place in regards to gender, and intentionally creating more subsets only will do harm to perception. There's been studies both on intelligent societal animals and AI that prove this (test regarded the differentiation between fish and birds; when penguins were introduced the systems not only had trouble determining its place, but also affected the placements of all other sets). Genitalia nor chromosomes proves to be useful in societal gender assignment, as is the case with intersex people that of which can have both genital and chromosomal defects.
Women are only (systematically) disadvantaged in non-western societies. Even in individual cases like domestic abuse, the numbers holistically balance themselves out when determining who is the "victim" and "perpetrator".
It is true when conservatives particularly say that "homosexuality is not just being 'born that way'", but I'll elaborate exactly on what aspect is a social construct. The innate attraction and mental makeup are biological, though the latter can be easily affected by traumatizing childhoods (abuse, neglect, oedipal mothers and/or fathers, attachment, etc.). This is why you see a correlation (and a partial causation) between homosexuality and femininity, because the mental makeup of your typical gay male is similar to a straight female. What is entirely socially constructed is the will to act on these thoughts. This is why you see the increase in trend in people being identified as LGBT. It's more accepted now that it has ever been. When you see a discrepancy in statistics, one of which says ~3% are LGBT and other that say 10-15% are is because they are measuring different things. The former measures affiliation and identity and the latter pure attraction.
Modern feminism, along with (mainly French) postmodernism, are a scourge to the university. This is because they are both based along Marxist ideology but applying them to sexual/gender/racial groups instead of economic classes. Hard-lined feminists post a lot about just being a part of a racial group automatically makes you an oppressor and/or racist; Marxist theory is to blame. Postmodern theories of how dialogue, among with everything else, is a power dynamic, is why feminists generally will not speak or debate their ideas. Rather, they radicalize in their echo chambers.
Liam and I made this after seeing the heated discord discussion, and, fingers crossed, I'll be glad we did.
I largely still believe i am correct about gender though. You obviously have a spectrum of men and women based around how masculine or feminine a person is, but in terms of whether those differences warrant a whole different and separate identity is something of question. Largely most social constructs are given value not by the individual but by the collective, so the idea that you're able to choose your own gender identity is flawed unless in a society open enough to allow you to change it at will. That's not to say that you don't have impact on it though, as most people assign gender based around your personal expression.
My argument that anything beyond a binary would hurt the dynamic is wrong though. Many cultures accept more than 2 genders. My original idea was that every gender would incrementally have less value and muddle up the lines between genders as each specific gender identity would have less defining and more subjective characteristics to it, to the point where the differences between two given gender identities are indistinguishable. But, again, society assigns them and individuals don't, so if society as a whole does not see the need for another gender identity it doesn't exist.
I should preface that I don't hate nor disbelieve people who say they feel different from others. I'm sure I feel different from a super masculine exmil guy, but society sees us as the same gender.
Another thing I was wrong about was my criticism of *all* feminism and postmodernism, when I only have issues with the marxist branches of the ideology. I largely will agree with most liberal feminists and their criticisms and perspectives of society and culture as a whole. I don't agree that all men just for being men exploit women. Some do and it is true that men have more power than women do in most of western society. Intent matters here. It's not every cops fault that some (incl. ones with administrative power) have hateful ideas about minorities and express them through their racist actions. It's not my fault that some men rape women; I'm not even attracted to them.
thats also bullshit everything i said ^^ is bullshit im a marxist whos got some questions wrong on this survey

yeah, complicated subject
I can say that any form of racism or discrimination is stupidity, having a weak mind, a poor spirit.
Do not agree with people's sexual choice, do not give permission to discriminate, offend, attack.
