Lost my prelim in a Blue Screen of Death. I had to send it away for data recovery, and now I won't be able to enter the B&M prelim. If I get it back in time, I may get to enter my entry in the bonus round. Otherwise, I'm out of PT3 for good.
Why did you send it away for recovery? Most recovery software can recover things by itself. Hell I could have walked you through it to recover it in time for the prelim due date. I went through a similar computer crash and had to recover most of my RCT work that way also. -

B&M prelim: 30-35%
it's starting to look really nice but I really need to get work behind it else I can't finnish it . -

^^^^When the guy at Best Buy checked the HD, the machine recognized it, but didn't have any data, meaning that the recovery systems you are talking about wouldn't be able to recover my data. The only way to get it back would be to send it to a recovery plant and have them piece it all back together or something.
@Kumba - Thanks a ton, for the possibility. As soon as I get everything back to normal (Except the data since that will be awhile), I will begin an entry for the Bonus/Wildcard round just in case I don't get my data back. Also, thanks for the hint. I never thought of E-mailing stuff to myself. -

Even if you cannot access your drive and it can't boot as a master or be read as a slave it still can be recovered. -

Yeah....if you have hooked it up as a slave and it found the drive in the bios but it can't be read in windows you can easily recover files...even ones that you have deleted a long time ago in different software. Recovery plants can probably go deeper than freeware or shareware can obviously, but I would assume mainly corporations that need to recover important files use these plants instead of normal consumers since they can be pretty pricey. -

Yeah... Well, thanks for the info. It was a little late, but that's entirely my fault for not posting until I had already sent my HD away. Next time I need to recover data, I'll keep that in mind.
EDIT: That reminds me, the guy at Best Buy told me about a girl who payed $1600 for the highest level of recovery just so she could get her 37-page resume back lol.Edited by Gwazi, 07 June 2007 - 09:39 PM.

still working on an RCT2 solo (either 100x100 or 120x120, I forget) and a thing I was doing in RCT3 was put on the backburner for a while... awaiting some kind of inspiration for a hotel... -

Calypso Theme Park LA - Currently on hold, but I'll find some time for it soon.
Snowdrift - A bit on hold now. CP6 still has it
Prelim - Second prelim is finished, so my opponents better are aware in that round
FMW(Fox Movie World) - This clubpark is turning out pretty well. My clubmates did a great job so far

Prelim #2: 40%ish I think.
Design: 5%
Solo: dropped, because it was unorganized and began to look like crap. -

The RCT2 solo is about 70% now, I just finished a design (was going to be a submission to the B&M round but after I won in the woodie round I relaxed a bit and spent some more time on it), and the RCT3 park remains untouched. -

I'm planning a new solo, cos my last one fell through due to poor planning.
But at the moment, I'm working on a few little mini things just for fun. Just trying things I've always wanted to do, to try and bring back the funness of the game, which I feel it's lost for me.
