yeah agreed, too gimicky and you lose the feel of the layout.

Well I was already kinda doubting the layout. in that case I will probably remove it all together, since the only reason it is in there is because I wanted a coaster with a diagonal station.

@Jappy: Maybe you would cover a broader spectrum if the DJ area was generally 'electronica' and can include late 70's synth/krautrock and disco stuff, through to current electronic music.

I dunno if a 'pop' area would work with your other themes, since it's essentially whatever genre was popular during a specific time, so you're going to have a big crossover. The Beatles would come to mind as a pop icon for example but then are also UK Rock.

I see your objections, alex. But there are still some really iconic artists that do not fit so clearly in a genre other than 'pop'. Michael Jackson is clearly the King of Pop, but how about Madonna? The Spice Girls? Robbie Williams? ABBA? Britney Spears? Beyonce? Like it or not, you can make cases for Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Including some contemporary popular artists sounds like a smart move if this were a real park. Music is a theme that is really hard to portray visually... So use the opportunity to use some artists that actually come with a visual style as well (Madonna, Gaga).

Some ideas:
- Safety Dance bumper cars (PLEASE!)
- Cry Me a River (Log Flume)
- World of Stevie Wonder (indoor roller coaster)
- Reverser coaster with twerking theme
- Vengabus Bus Stop ride
- Boten Anna rowing boats
- The Final Countdown space shot
- I don't know what yet, but you should definitely do something with The Macarena.

Cry Me a River on the other hand is a brilliant idea. Although I prefer River Rapids rather than Log Flume.

As long as your EDM area has a drop tower you're good to go.

Finally got a few ideas kicking around but don't expect any NE Olympics level productivity from me, classes are super ramped up

Can't wait to check out KnoxVegas, especially the coaster layouts.

Getting there...! The last theme zones have been decided, still need to build them though. The end is near!

Vermillion update

October 17th 2016 Status: Progress slowed again some, majority of my free time has been sucked into moving in with the girlfriend.  Goal is one screen by end of October, may have a legacy screen or two as well to share.

 

HELP NEEDED:  I’m approaching a few major decision points as I standardize things across the maps, and could use some input on which alternative people like better for roads and sidewalks, pools, vehicles, etc.  More to come.
