Tbh RoB shouldn't be competing for best RCT2 park either imo . It was probably very good back in the day but c'mon it can't really compete to some of the recent spotlights like Starpoint and BGA

 

 

No matter how you look at it, RoB is still a masterclass in how to create immersive atmospheres. It may not be the most detailed park compared to recent works, but the only parks that even come close in terms of atmosphere are Islands of Enchantment and Isole Calabria. 

 

What I will say just to clarify that I'm not an RoB fanboy or anything is that I have never thought of RoB as the best park of all time, and to be quite honest, I think in days gone by it was greatly overrated. However, bearing that in mind, it's still one of the most atmospheric and greatest Rct2 parks ever created.

 

I've been in this community for 15 years or so, and I cannot think of a single park, LL or Rct2 that has had such a legacy. I'd even go as far to say that if RoB wasn't released at the time it was, NE wouldn't still be a thing 15 years later. RoB showed what you can do with the game and inspired the next 10 years of Rct. We have moved away from thick atmospheres in recent years with all the hyper-detailed works and realism floating about, but the only reason we still have a site is because people wanted to recreate the atmospheres you feel flying around RoB.
