General Chat / Watching Sports

Most of the people think that watching sports is fun and intence... I really do not understand how sitting on your fat ass and watching other people run around after a ball is entertaining. I would just play the god damn game myself. I tried this "exciting" thing once and I fell asleep. How boring can watching sprts on a T.V. really be. Is this what America has come to? People to lazy and fat to exercise themselves so they watch a game? I don't get it. I would rather do homework then watch hockey or fooball.. I am not against any people who love to watch sports, I am just saying that they must have a pretting boring way of getting excitement. That is the end of my rant.

Wow, yup... I sure do have a fat ass, and damn do I look fat. Being 5'5 and 112lbs sure makes it hard to move and stuff.

Anyways, if there's one sport that isn't boring, it's hockey. Watch Game 5 on Thursday between the Ducks and Devils and I promise you that you won't fall asleep. Your pulse will go up, it's nuts watching hockey that intense (series is tied 2-2 now). Everything else is meh, but I still watch Baseball, Basketball, and Football whenever it's on.

Hey.. That is going traumatize me for life... :0
Never show another guy a picture of your ass.

Anyway, that was not the point. I did not say that every person who watches sports on Tv had a fat ass. ;) I just said it is boring in my opinion. Whateva.

  yes actually, that is EXACTLY what it has come to, started with remote controls, moved on to shopping online, people are getting LAZIER by the year

personally I agree playing sports is more fun than watching sports, but if I'm at a party with friends, might as well have a sports game on

plus, its fun to gamble

    finally, an honest sports fan.

hockey isn't that bad actually, but playing hockey is the REAL thrill. Sitting on your ass and watching other people do it IS lazy, no matter how you slice it.

Just because you're not an athlete doesn't mean that you're right.
I would much rather watch a basketball game on TV then to sit on my "fat, lazy ass" and play RCT.
What's your answer to that? What's so different between watching TV and playing RCT. You're doing the same damn thing.
  • Blitz%s's Photo
come on iris, you know I'm just kidding around
it's a form of entertainment, some like it, some don't.
and like rct, some of its fans go a bit overboard ;)

    Watching Sports

    Shut up, fag.
Why do you have to fucking bog in other peoples' likings, and hobbies?
Why do simulated rollercoasters give you a big juicy one?
With that said, I didn't read your post.
    Find something better to do.

Well, I watch hockey for two reasons:
    1. It is my favourite sport and I am interested in the outcome.
    2. I pick up techniques I myself can use.
Regular season games may be boring, but like Beta said, do yourself a favour and watch game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. It's all shaping up now, it's going to be a very important game.

Actually there is a difference. Watching sports you are not using your mind what so ever. And do not say you do because you don't. RCT use your brain. Building coasters needs you to used your brain. Finding new hacks uses your brain. So blah.

i dunno turtle... I've seen some pretty mindless parks =P

Playing RCT is not a huge mind-puzzling game. Sorry to burst your bubble. Just like 99% of the games out there, it's just a video game. Period.

My input about watching sports..... I love sports, playing and watching. Just because I like to watch a hockey game doesn't make me, or anyone else lazy. It's a hobby, just like RCT.

Most guys that shun sports usually turns out to be fags anyway....

    lol sports are stupid

It's an escape. Not being athletically inclined, and over 40, my participation in sports is minimal. I would much rather challenge my mind than take a chance on permanently injuring myself. And I do watch, and enjoy, sports on TV.
  • Radu%s's Photo
Like Rohn said, it's just an escape. There's no logical production involved with it, just like watching any other TV show, movie, fictional novel, etc. It's fun, sometimes, just to sit back and watch other people do cool things that you only wish you could do. Plus, if you're rooting for a home team, it's fun to talk about with friends.

What I don't understand is sports talkradio. That has to be the lowest brow of communication ever. It's just a bunch of people calling in two days after a game, still griping about what they would do as coach as if it actually mattered. To think that they can do that 24 hours a day, and memorize every player in a league makes me wonder about their life.

And Beta, you've just been waiting for the oppertunity to post that, havn't you? ;) :|''''

    Sports are pointless.

As are RCT, music, movies, television, and throwing eggs at passing vehicles.

Ever been to the UK? Want to know how much people idolise one sport in particular? You have to see it to believe it.

Football (Soccer) is the sport that grips the nation every week. More people watch a football match on Sky Sports than watch the queens speech for example (like anyone watches them anyway). Its just something you grow into society, and it sticks. I personally love playing & watching sports.
  • Pym Guy%s's Photo
well some people don't so don't go all mean about it
  • Cap'n Quack%s's Photo
you are going for a team. you want that team to win. you get excited when that team scores. you start yelling your head off when the other team scores. thats why it is fun.
