RCT Discussion / Obscure themes and settings

I didn't know faas had done a LIthuania!  There's a whole shitload of rococo-baroque churches in Lithuanaia that need doing.  

I've been thinking about how to best do this for years, but I have entire folders of "things somebody should make in RCT" with photo refs that I would like to unload for the community to pick over and run with. 

 

BGSS and Panoptica both have Brazilian favelas, and there are some parks with an Amazon theme. Also, Mexico is in North America

 

 

BGSS has named areas for many rarely-seen locales, but I think part of the "Eritrea Factor" is also that for a lot of the world, nationality is less discernable than terrain type.  Fatha's Aruba is called Aruba, but for what it's worth that could just as easily be any beachfront in the tropics.  You could change nothing and call it Antigua or Las Palmas and we'd be just as convinced.

Well, in BGSS's case, I think the favela is portrayed really well, but I agree, I probably wouldn't think it was a favela if it wasn't named as such.

I'm actually quite curious to see how people would make areas themed after the Philippines.

 

Would do it myself, but I'm not exactly very good at RCT, so...

I guess with people killing each other with the president cheering them on? 

Parts of the Philippines are key reference material for Vermillion.  It wouldn't be hard to do in 2 - bunch of low-lying steel roof buildings, tropical foliage, and a village church.

A lot of countries could use a president killing criminals (and maybe some innocent people by accident) for a couple of years. The Philippines will become a much more safer place than it is now.

 

Maybe I'll try a Madagascar theme. The architecture is quite diverse here with a lot of French colonial buildings in the city centers surrounded by huge African slums.
