Hey guys,
I was actually hesitant to show my Parkitect work here since NE is originally a RCT1/2 forum, but muuuh encouraged me to do so and since I admire the quality of the work of you guys here I decided to give it a try. So, here I am new to NE. My name is Max, I'm from Germany and I have a blast playing Parkitect right now. I have been playing RCT2 quite much but I was never good at hacking, so I was never able to do the stuff you guys do with RCT2. And I didn't really like RCT3 so I'm happy about Parkitect now.
I bought the game in March and started to work one some designs to see how designing in Parkitect would work out for me, and it went pretty well so I decided to go for a full park.
I did fall in love with the old RCT1 scenario Evergreen Gardens, so I named my park for that. However, it will be more a theme park than actual gardens.
Currently, I finished four themed areas: Main Street, Lost City of Atlantis, Deep in Africa & Midgard. I'm planning to add two to three more areas and this will pretty much fill up the map.
Now of course I'm curious about your feedback since you guys know how to design great parks. Here is Evergreen Gardens Theme Park:
Welcome to Evergreen Gardens Theme Park! This park will invite you to visit several themed areas with thrilling rides and beautiful views as well as overpriced food and strangely shaped triangular balloons.
The Main Street will feature the Evergreen Gardens 4D Cinema, a Wave Swinger ride and Mad Hatter's Mad Tea Cups.
Also, you will find lots of cafes and souvenir shops as well as a restaurant and the Evergreen Gardens Theater.
The African themed area "Deep in Africa" has two rides: Black Mamba, a B&M Inverted Coaster and a Top Spin called Matamba. Any identification with an actual theme park in Germany is highly coincidentally.
Black Mamba is featuring a looping, a zero-g-roll, an immelmann loop as well as two flatspins.
The peeps love Black Mamba but they love the Top Spin even more.
When Evergreen Gardens Theme Park opened its gates to the all-new area "The Lost City of Atlantis", the peeps swarmed the place. They enjoy the golden roofs of the temples, the mysterious signs and sculptures, the joyful wetness and hidden caves of Atlantis' feature water ride The Sanctuary of the Lost City, the thrills of the free fall tower Atlantean Scion, and the twists and turns of the family coaster Atlantis Adventure.
The water ride The Sanctuary of the Lost City is featuring three drops and hidden caves as well as a journy through a massive temple building.
The station area of The Sanctuary of the Lost City invites peeps to sit and enjoy a cool drink while watching their kids enjoying the Obelisk slide.
Here we get to see the family coaster Atlantis Adventure racing through temples and getting really close to Atlantean rock cliffs.
Peeps can also watch the family coaster from high above when taking a ride on Atlantean Scion.
This weekend, the guys at Evergreen Gardens Theme Park finished working on Midgard, the land of the Vikings. Take a ride on Njördr, the Nordic god of wind, and enjoy its twisty airtime. Feel the force of Thor's Hammer Mjölnir or enjoy a cup of hot coffee or a pretzel. And if you're really hungry, you can visit the restaurant inside the Viking church in the middle of Midgard. They serve freshly grilled Viking-spiced meat. (Vegan options are available. Maybe).
Be careful when you take a ride on Njördr, the god of wind ... this GCI wooden coaster's airtime will yank you right out of your seat!
This Zierer Star Shape will confront you with the powerful force of Thor's Hammer Mjölnir, so you better prepare yourself. Did I mention already that Thor's Hammer is really, really powerful? Watch the lightning strikes!
Some village details. You can get to Midgard by crossing the bridge over Njördr coming from The Lost City of Atlantis.
Some more village details. Until the path at the bottom connects to the neighboring area, you can enjoy the beautiful waterfall.
So, what do you guys think? I will keep you updated as I continue working, unless you kick me out because it's not RCT. Generally, I'm going for some sort of realism with this park but even more I'm going for having fun playing Parkitect.

Everything in the screens in amazing, really like what you've done with the rockwork and terrain, really gives it depth and utilized the 3d engine really well.
Only one nitpick, the building overlooking the swing ride in the 3rd screen with all the columns. It looks a bit out of scale, looks like the floors are a bit shorter than the other buildings on the street and therefore seems a bit out of place. Maybe stretch it out to make it a bit taller...
Outside of that is fantastic, makes me want to dive into the game. Do keep posting here too, we'd love to see more. -

It is pretty inrecdible, thanks for sharing. If only the greenery looked better in this game. The boxy bushes look like candy.

Thanks for your feedback, guys! I'm glad this didn't turn into a Parkitect vs. RCT2 thread, even though Liampie and muuuh definitely tried their very best. ;-) As I said, I did play a lot of RCT2 and maybe I'll show one or two old screens eventually, but I just wasn't able to do the stuff you guys do. Hell, I couldn't even get a steep log flume drop to work, haha. And that was kinda frustrating, so I'm really happy about Parkitect.
@ G Force: I see what you mean and I'll try to make it more fit.
@ posix: I'm not a big fan of the in-game foliage either but it's better than having none at all, haha. And I actually thought those unrealistic boxy bushes would fit into a fantasy themed area quite well.
I started working on a little Dutch village but I wasn't happy with where it was located in the park, so I'm redoing it right now. I will update this thread once I'm happy with it. :-)

There might be a slight fear that the classic RCT community will be lost due to new games like this, at least in my mind. If not more so the fear that NE will lose its core value by being more open to new games that don't have the potential RCT does.
