The only thing I don't agree on with was when you said that pissing someone of is entertainment for the readers. I think it's only "entertaining" for yourself.

This was my main point - that it doesn't matter, and that we should stop acting like it does and have a bit of fun.
"Fun" depends on the individual's idea of fun. For example, Gardner turned NewElement into a music forum for a while.
Good for him.
He acted positively to improve NewElement for himself, and, as a result, improved it for a good number of other people who visited.
If everyone acted like that, posted the things they wanted to see posted, instead of endlessly bitching, or posting nonsensical gibberish, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

When I usually insult someone, I have nothing against them. And I assume that they know that. I assume that they have enough intelligence to know that I'm j/k, buddie.

Now, I go to church, but I find NOTHING wrong with swearing. I don't do it all the time, just usually when I'm mad or just feel like it. Every other word that comes out of my mouth is a swear word, like some other people that I know. I don't find anything morally wrong with it and kind of enjoy it at some points, actually.

certain words have been associated with derogatory comments from ignorant asswipes who feel their race is superior to others, and the words have a bad meaning attatched, because of who used them, but only because of who used them, words are only sounds, sounds only mean what they are interpereted to mean.

So if you called me a drunk irishman because I'm part Irish, that would be bad but if you called me a ... i dunno... a squirrel, and you meant that as a racial slur, it would be just as bad, even though squirrel is by no means considered a bad word.

Well holy shit, this may be the fasting growing worthwhile topic here at New Element. And I guess it's my place to put what I think. I'm not even going to pretend that I read through the entire 100-reply topic, as in reality I basically skimmed over the first page or so and decided to reply. Yes, I do agree that sometimes (more often then not lately) worthwhile topics are getting ruined due to people trying to act funny just by imitating some of the members here at New Element.

Most people probably don't realize how sick I am of all these people (who aren't a tenth as intelligent or clever as say...Stupid Git) simply utter out his catch-phrases and expect everyone to think it's funny. I'm not going to name names, although I could, and probably come up with a pretty good list of those who have almost worn out their welcome on this message board. When Adix and myself decided to allow complete free-speech on this forum, we didn't have any idea that it would eventually lead into the deterioration of so many topics. I for one, am ready to take drastic measures at this point, to ensure that this no longer happens. Will I ban curse words? No. But, let it be known that any people I see from this point forward simply posting curse words with no useful purpose to anything will be punished. Those who take it too far will be gone from this forum, like it or not.

Now, something that many people may not like: it DOES matter who you are, determining what type of punishment you get. Stupid Git will be able to get away with a lot more then most people. I'm making this loud and clear right now. Why? Because although sometimes he gets sidetracked, and will occassionally post with no useful purpose (the times when he's really not funny at all actually,) for the most part the Git is a positive influence on this message board. He is often the starter of many great topics, whether they be offensive in some cases, and controversial in almost all cases. Still, Git has stuff to say, and him using his own sense of humor, and catchphrases that he himself invented is OK by me.

To those who just imitate him, and imitate Harakiri, Ty, and that group of people, get a fucking life. Really, if you're so pathetic that you can't even come up with your own identity on a message board, then you must be one pathetic person in real life. Speaking from experience in pscyhology classes, those who imitate others personalities are usually too afraid to come up with their own. This is very common in real life, but on a message board it's just downright pitiful. Again, I'm tempted to name names, and if it comes to that, I eventually will, but for now, those people should know who they are. I've seen a slight influx of them lately, possibly from rct2.com? (if I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but many of these people have been sort of 'advertising' it, so I believe they originated there and are here at New Element only to start something).

Eventually, if it must be done, all curse words will be banned, with a word filter. I hate to take away the rights of free speech, especially on a message board, but if people abuse it and are not responsible or mature enough (or at least clever enough to use the words in a meaningful fashion), then the words aren't wanted here.

People start topics showing off Civics and talking about street racing. Now, should this exclude insults? I see no "Oh yea. And don't talk shit." in the forum description. Now, when someone says "you need a faster stripe and a bigger exhaust" and someone comes back with a "I heard those lighted nozzles add at least 20 hp!!!" how on earth is that more of a valid comment than "That car is a piece of shit."

If this topic starter DID want to go into a conversation about cars, he would tell me "Well Kirii. I see that you are saying derogatory things about my automobile. What don't you like in particular, and what makes your golf cart (I do in fact have a golf cart, with two engines) better?" and we would proceed to discuss them.

Okay, I'm going to post a somewhat worthwhile reply here; because I'm pretty sure that I'm one of those whoring off Git and Kirii and Ty. Shit, I'm doing it inadvertently, because that's what I do. I basically am Git or Kirii or Ty, just with more self-esteem and less intelligence. That's what makes the difference, and why I'm a useless member to this site. I do just swear and post shitty replies, because I can't think of anything better to say. But I post shitloads, and that's why you people know who I am (as far as my online persona goes). I went three fucking years at Danimation as such aliases as Tyler24 and Da Prankstah, and no motherfuckers have any idea who the fuck I am/was. When I rejoined the RCT community upon the advent of RCT2, I adopted this QOTSA-2002 persona (in spite of the fact that I find QOTSA to be a marginal band now, to be perfectly honest--shit, that was stupid of me to register that name), and now I'm fucking huge. Mantis speaks of his love for me in his signature, and I was the foremost contributor in Metropole's running away crying from our site because we're just a bunch of mean people, apparently--or because I turned up the blowtorch on his ass for making imbecilian comments. Err, yeah. Anyway, I have no idea where the hell I'm going with this post, but I do know that speaking like a South Park character gone pure evil has gotten me a fine reputation around here--hell, at the old Pokemon fake card site I used to go to, I was the most controversial fucking member they had ever seen. Ignorant teenage geeks. I'm a goddamn angel. They just didn't know any better, because they were a bunch of anti-social 16-year-olds that Photoshop together some fake Pokemon cards. I was a fan of Pokemon when I was about 11, and I met some (what I thought) were cool people there. So long after, I stayed, in spite of the fact that I couldn't tell a Squirtle from a Pikachu from a Shoe. Not to mention that all the important people liked me, everyone else got a nice flame of asterisk-censored curses, courtesy of yours truly. Then I realized that they're all boring motherfuckers at a Nazi-ass message board. Now I go here. And I'm not worth a shit. Oddly enough, I copied the legendary Gits of the NE World completely by accident--I use the Internet to vent my dumb, curse-filled side. In real life I'm the nicest fucker you'll ever meet. A little nerdy, yes, and some weird amalgamation of a goth and a treehugger, but I'm still a nice fucking person. Shit, I don't even swear that much. I take my aggravation out on all the motherfuckers I don't even know on this here message board. So I swear and act stupid and spam this bitch up and swear some more. This has been the most quickly thought out posts I have seen on the boards. Not only do you make assumptions(to make yourself feel better, obviously), you stereotype me with absolutely no reason. In my post, I did not accuse you of mentioning me, nor did I take offense. What you did here was idiotic and immature. It really shows how imtellilgent, witty, and professional a truly great webmaster can be. You really have things going great for yourself, right? Don't blame me. Because you don't know me, you substitute me for another "wannabe"(even though I have done nothing Git-like lately), which is very ignorant. What is your point, first of all? Do you have one? There are a couple of people who have been showing there face around new element that have been pissing me off, I'm sure they just turned 13 and joined the message board, but all they ever say is shit about other people, and i haven't read anything meaningful from them.
