General Chat / Do we need to swear so much?

THere are no such thing as bad words, only bad intentions, butt and ass mean the exact same thing, so why is one worse than the other, it isn't, people are just told it is and accept that. So I say be free with your language, but be restrictive in your insults, words can only be as bad as you make them.

Look at the street racing topic, 3 posts in and that fun loving "Harakirii" has already cussed the creator of the topic. Maybe its just me, but its slightly boring now. StupidGit doing it was quite funny, but now everyone seems to copying his style of posting.

To address this, we need to understand something about Git and I, and that is that we were once just like the rest of you. Normal, decent human beings. After a brief amount of time on the Danimation boards, we got to praising each other publically for the vastness of our intellectual capabilities. Then, after jumping at the site of his "Anarchy" avatar, I managed to find his AOL screen name. We made private contact, and fucked each other for months, while spreading our thoughts on the Dnet forum. I suddenly had a large fascination with the European culture, as they are much less conservative, and dare I say it, "moral." So in our talks, Git and I would become less and less proper.
Our egos got larger and our vocabularies got smaller. "Fuck, piss, shit, ass, hell, Chauncey Gardner, sperm, scrotum," and a lot of other vuglarities would plague the forums, and people started to wonder what the hell we were doing. But there was a lot of meaning in them, as they were all disgusting metaphors for everyday things. However, people got repulsed, namely fags like Buster, and they began to diss us condescendingly. And ever since then, Git and I have had to be the shit-guard for everyone that communicates differently.

And we get insulted.
Even my mother insults me for cussing.
But, people communicate differently.
Some people are different.
And, in order for most people to grasp that, we must go to the extremes of using 20 random "swearing" words in succession. So, while most sit on their high-horses, saying shit such as "Cussing is unintelligent. Cussing is unnessecary," they simply give our cause more purpose, and rather than making 20 cuss-words per post, we go to thirty.

At the same time, people can argue against the overall "quality" of Harakirii's posts. For the most part, you people here at NE are intelligent and accepting individuals. Now, I can go over Danimation and begin on another "Prying open my third eye"-a-thon, but, as most people know, Danimation has turned into a clean, conservative, straight-flying, family place, with an army of concise, decent, hard-working moderators as an intelligence-buffer zone. Therefore, I get bored. My purpose on this earth is not to have intelligent conversations on a public level, but to offend and open the hearts of arrogant idiots. I have meaningful conversations with individuals. And those, are few and far between.

So there you have it. If I offend people, or detract them away from my posts because they are shit-laden, then I apologize.
Not really, though. You aren't missing anything. Although, this post was pretty good. Be sure to IM G-Rocks and tell him how good I've been. Maybe then he'll let me rape him and is mother in the ass simultaneously with a double-dildo.

You do it to get a higher Postcount (because you think you'll get a better reputation), parkmakers do it to get praised. Whatelse is the AD? Originality has gotten so rare, it scares me, really.

iris and Adix dont need to worrry about the boards everything is doing just fine, and if it was such a problem that the annoucenments dont get enough replies I think that they would do something about it.

Heh. I still posted during the time when they removed post counts. I post because I enjoy it, not because I like the post count. I also dont think that having a high post count makes you popular, if anything it makes you less popular. I dont think of it as work, once again I enjoy it, I wouldnt have been around the site so long if I didnt. I give alot of my time to NE and I hope that I can keep on doing that and I really see no point for you guys to complain about. I think that the community is going stronger than ever. Oh well. Marshy, swearing isn't acceptable and in most cultures and religions it's considered a "sin," to lend reference, although in Christianity, swearing is a sin.

NO good reason, people are just pussified by there parents and teachers into thinking people who swear are fuckin heathans, and that just isn't true. I think swearing can be overdone, but there is no good reason to exclude perfectly good words from my vocabulary, cause religion, or teachers, or parents, or whoever say theyre bad, when there just NOT, if you don't take offense at them, they lose there harmfulness and blend in with the rest of the English language.
