This game is fucking amazing! Its been updated twice since release, apart from a lack of objects (its alpha still!!) i cannot fault it. The devs are doing a great job i cant wait to see what people make with it. I will add some pics once I've built something.

It looks good my only criticism would be careful not to go overboard with the lighting. Less is more in my opinion. I admit I've been over using them too when playing around though haha

Yea....... Might scale back on the colored lights.......I just want the Main Street to be bright....something we can't really do with the current lights, and I won't use those modern lights on this section of the park as they don't fit at all. -

Hey Meretrix, of course we remember you
Hope you can persuade people running this site to also cover PC parks like you did with Tilted Acres to have iris cover a WW park
It looks good, I can see your progression already as I like your newer screens a bit better than your previous ones. But that is to be expected as the way of using objects is quite versatile and has a steep learning curve.. How do you like the new 3 axis rotation in alpha 2?
I'm still fiddling around with alpha 2 and the its new functions, I quite like what I see so far and I might post screens when I have something reasonable to show

Thanks SF. Yes the trick now is to tweak some of the earlier stuff to bring it up to the level of the newer buildings. Finally getting the hang of 3 axis rotation.......was a bit of a learning curve....not sure why......also fiddling with the terrain editor.... I'm finding that using my Wacom tablet to sculpt land is much more freeing than using a mouse. Going to start building some rides soon as the Main Street is almost done........plus I'm building a castle in the center of the park with some new tricks up my sleeve........if you haven't yet seen the work of Silvarett you should check it out......that guy is AMAZING. -

Just wondering, how hard is it to place objects symetrically? AFAIK there is a snap tool, but I doubt that they included one that uses pattern recognition.

You use the three axis tool and you can slide things into place.......a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it's quite powerful. -

So, it just snaps into the right place? I'm actually amazed how much you can do scenerywise in this game, but I imagine it would be a pain to align everything properly.
-

No it doesn't just snap right into place......if you want to line things up symmetrically you have to use 3 rotation and then align each piece how you want it. And with the new alpha all the lamps align to walls in very strange ways....a bit annoying. -

Anyone on the fence with this game.. get it! now! Obviously only if you can spare the money because it is expensive for an unfinished game, but the devs are listening to the community and i can see this game going far which is in my opinion not very common with new games.
Making buildings is easy, it all snaps together, windows are not limited to a grid but snap to buildings with ease. You can also ignore the snap feature and build place items where you want (halfway through walls/roof/rock/ground. Lining up signs to make rooves is a bit of a ballache, but when theres options for actual rooves it wont matter so much and i can see them making changes to align things like this easier (my opinion i think they will, ive not read anything to confirm it)

It appears they're still making the engine more efficiënt every update and patch, to make sure framedrops are as minimal as possible...
Only Frontera can make rollercoaster games that are good it appears, now they have the tech and engine, this'll be the rct for decades to come i feel
