Giving Muskoka Grove a go in Planet Coaster! Proper Victorian-era architecture should be a fun challenge.

Also, the soundtrack for this game is amazing.

Yay! Peeps are picking up on this great game. Buggy at the moment but hopefully will get sorted by release.

This game does look incredible but I went to pre-order and $44 on Steam? Sweet Jesus. Is this thing Mac compatible or ever going to be?

  • trav%s's Photo

They have no plans to make it Mac compatible at the moment.

    Trav building timber-framed houses?  Never!!

Bigger maps! Started again, luckily i could save most as blueprints and copy over. More space to work with so think it looks better now, plus new editable signs =)

Need some inspiration for park layout! I feel like I could actually finish something in this game if I can my layout down haha

Fingers crossed that a Mac compatible version is eventually released. I've been dying to get back into parkmaking instead of just lurking on this site.

    I expect Nebula 2.0

Just bought the game on Steam, now waiting till 7pm for the release (and download).

Still working out what I'm going to build, but I was thinking something like a timeline park, like Liam is doing sometimes :p

It's amazing how engrossing the small stuff in this game can be to watch. I made a small junior S&S free-fly in Muskoka Grove and I love just watching it complete the course over and over. The detail and atmosphere in this game is absolutely unreal; there's massive amounts of character to the whole art direction of the game.

Too lazy to link it, because I'm on my phone at work, but Silverret's newest video series for his RMC coaster are just unbelievable. Everyone go watch.

Yeah, although I hate to see they still didn't fix the path system.. I hated it in alpha 1 and still dislike it now, tho I like the addition of the square option.. Maybe I just need more practice :p
I'll first make all my paths in my park I guess :p

Also annyone know if we ever get a true sandbox park? Like without the tunnel in beginning and the stars on the first tile?

I feel like Silverret is just so far ahead of everyone else, it's not even fair.

Its great until you see the POV...

I also wonder where he got that sunken tree trick from, if that was a RCT3 discovery or if he saw that being used here first.

  • Steve%s's Photo
I feel like all the POVs I've seen are a little strange. Something to do with the friction/physics of the rides? Which is weird since the coasters look fine from the third person shots.
  • G Force%s's Photo
They seem to suffer from poor physics, the trains seem to move at the same speed the entire ride. Not only that but the camera isn't locked to the train, like rct3. Plus the coasters are flat out super rough and seem to be impossible to smooth out at this point.

Still room improvement on that end, but otherwise the game looks great visually.

also whoever made the park in this video is pretty amazing

the POV still bugs me but I'm getting used to it. My guess is it doesn't really track the train properly because the track isn't smooth like no limits track (which also takes a while to get smooth IIRC?) so to avoid it looking jolty or whatever this was the solution. I think they also have some trouble stitching together curves smoothly, someone posted a thing on their forums about how you need to use multiple twists to make something like a barrel roll but in between each twist there's always a section of straight track which fucks up the smoothness.

I'm planning on getting it in the next couple days so I'll report back with my findings :p
