As far as a site for planet coaster.... we have a site right here and were all already here... why don't we talk to the admins and get a dedicated forum? It's still posix right?
If NE opens a forum for PC, it might revive the community and prevent people from flocking to a PC fansite/forum once the final game is released. It seems like this game has the potential to attract a strong following, a la RCT1 & 2.The admins are Me, Liampie, inthemanual, Posix & geewhzz. Liam and I are the active admins. We are all for other games at the site, however as far as a dedicated forum for PC goes, this forum is it. It is for Related Games, so all games to do with coasters etc. so Parkitect also falls under this. We would give them individual forums and front page screen support for them if there was more demand, but there doesn't seem to be.
This topic sort of acts as a 'dump place' for Planet Coaster, but feel free to open specific ad topics in this forum, that is what it is for.

The games still in alpha....so no wood yet......lots of things have been teased at for full release so fingers crossed. They did show models of wood and they looked amazing. The builder has a learning curve, but it's intuitive. -

You actually can't buy the alpha anymore. However if you get the Thrillseeker edition you will have access to the beta in two weeks. Those of us with full alpha access paid a pretty penny for it back in April. It's been quite an evolution. I believe with the Thrillseeker beta access is the same as it was earlier in October......access to the game for four days. But check their website to confirm that. It's been cool to be giving frontier feedback on this most spectacular game. -

SA, like Louis said, sub-forum is totally possible, if there's enough demand. You active in this would be a pretty strong reason in favour of it. Hope to see some soon. And rather good to see you in high(er) spirits. I'll be emailing you soon.

Looks great, I'm waiting for beta to start anything now, have so many ideas really hoping theres a big performance improvement to build a full park. Hows your frame rate holding up? Is the park on the workshop?
-

Frame rate hovering around 30..... Park still waaaaaayyyyyyyyy unfinished. Will upload to workshop on Saturday. -

So they did their rides livestream today, and holy shit...
The RMC hybrid looks unreal and building it is gonna be an absolute blast. The water rides look nice too, though you can tell that they didn't really focus on the water physics themselves. Still... this is gonna be such a fun game to create things in.

There was soooooo much content in that livestream.......and even more in their final teaser shot today. Also, they gave beta's out last night to several creators......TONS of YouTube videos up of beta gameplay. 6 new coaster types, TONS of new scenery, the ability to set triggers for scenery on tracked rides as well as custom music in speakers...that can also act as triggers......I'm telling you....my life is OVER after tomorrow. I won't get anything in real life done.

Oh...and anyone who has Alpha can download Oberland....what's done of it..in the Workshop. Look for Oberland RELEASE. Cheers.

You should've got yourself a seperate topic for Oberland! It looks too nice to be buried in a general thread like this.

Thanks Liampie. Have to be honest though......when I stroll through the park, I'm a little disappointed in the way I laid it out.....it's way too linear and there aren't any plaza type areas...lots of wide paths that I would have done differently in hind site. Oh well, with beta I can start a new park and actually implement stuff that will look much cooler. And it will go quickly cause I've saved all my buildings as blueprints.

downloads: 60This game is amazing. Just played two hours and I must say it's really intuitive, coaster building so far is smooth but needs a little bit of tinkering sometimes. But you can alter and change the track easily later on to adjust height etc.
The whole feel of the game is great, love the peeps, the soundtrack and interface, graphics look ace too on my old machine (i5 with 3,4GHz, GeForce GTX750Ti and 24GB RAM). Tomorrow I will try some scenery...

Good to hear Dave. Have you tried building a big park with a lot of stuff in it? As I'm very curious what the framerate is when you build a large park with a lot of stuff on an 'old machine' -

I did download this one:

and it worked really well - a lot of people and scenery, but no coasters in the file - but it worked like a charm (didn't check the exact framerate, though).

This one was laggy, though. But maybe without people in the park it should work too.

Just bought this, installing now. Haven't payed much attention to the game as its been developed so I'm kinda going in with a blind eye. I'll update as I start to play (and stream some possibly).
