I am that much more impressed by Shotgun's solo effort. The sheer amount of manhours required is crazy. Congrats for producing such a top notch park. For your next effort, just remember to EDIT EDIT EDIT.

This.
I don't know anything about H2H or how the planning for it goes or how acceptable a solo park is, but that is just amazing. I had in mind that everyone worked on their parks as a team and i voted on Port of Entry with that in mind, but it being made by one guy and that guy being Shotguns... whow. Just whow. -

Each team is allowed one solo park during the contest if they want to use it, but otherwise all parks have 2 or 3 builders.

Wow. After the draft I was sure Shotguns would be a bust. I'm glad I've been proven wrong.
Liam building was pretty obvious for me, as well...the creativity he has is almost unparalleled

I enjoyed both parks a lot and while POE wasn't perfect, it would be the park I would like to visit more if these were real. Great job Shotguns (you had my vote). Congrats Heaven's Atlas for the W.

Damn. POE was a solo. Explains why I couldn't think of any hurricane builder whose style fits that park. Kumba, your 3rd round picks seem to be unparalleled. I hope this move won't hurt you later in the season.
Tenochtitlan being made by only two persons isn't something to mess with either, though.
also. quick shoutout to whoever made the map for POE. While usually maps are taken from the angle that the map loads to, I feel like this was a more appropriate angle. It showcased more of the park and showed some of its weaknesses next to all its strengths.

To be fair the entire PoE screamed Shotguns, but honestly did not expect it to be a solo. Massive kudos for that!
Liampie and Tolsimir were the obvious two, just assumed that there was going to be a third. Still, great effort.
I think the more important question is who built the boats though?

I'm going to guess Liampie did, but I could be wrong.
This round only reaffirms my love for Liampie's work. I really think he is one of the best semi-realism / fantasy parkmakers ever - atmosphere, theme, concept, originality, beauty, sculpture, etc. He has it all.

I hope my review didn't sound too jaded Shotguns. The fact that you did this yourself, and by round 1, is something to say in and of itself. It was quite an accomplishment.
I think why everyone still frequents this site is because there is the potential to open a park and go back to your memories and to experience the magic you felt as a kid. After seeing this park, it's obvious you have the ability few have to do this convincingly. I don't think you did this here (for me) but I think you can in your next park. -

Thanks guys for the mostly positive reviews on our park. To have a better insight on who did what here is what I did in the park, the rest is Liam's effort:
-both ships, first was the diagonal one, first thing I built in RCT for about one or two years. Then was the other ship. I think adding the very steep ropes to them did a lot to the boat feeling. The rides were added to the boats later.
-blue village, AoE 2 is my other most favourite game, being both games isometric was a great opportunity to feature the towcenter in here
-Campsite on blue island. I came up with the look of the site that was then transferred to the other islands
-Yellow coaster, as a supporting coaster our team wanted an unique not often used type. The reverse freefall was a nice choice, but I felt it was a lottle too boring and always thought the ride's car looks perfectly like an adventure ride car. So thats why we came up with that prelaunch part the top ornament is from Liam though
-purple Island, this village shall be a village more in the inner lands of mexico. Thus the dryer landscaping from the cliff.
-Market in front of pyramids. Thanks to Levis for the roaming turkeys
-palace building on Quetzcoatl's station
-Underwaterscenery/foliage
-Some bits and bobs in the city
So the city is mostly Liam's work. -

I made a map of who did what and I wanted to do a speech as well. But fuck the speech here is the map.
This was an amazing match. And not only a great victory for my team, also a great victory for macro RCT! Hyperdetailing is overrated!
Our park was like 90% finished two weeks before the deadline. The building process for this park was more relaxed than any other contest park I've ever done, I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed beating the deadline like that! The only thing we didn't do that we should've done in that time was theming the underground tunnels. Major missed opportunity. Tolsimir, you were a great building partner. Our styles work quite well together, I think, and we complement eachother well. I don't have the patience for shit like those ships and figuring out the reverse freefall ride. Great job.
Thanks for all the reviews (and votes), everyone! I loved reading them. I disagree about the pyramids, I agree about the giant bird statue (it was cheap, but the alternative was nothing at all), and I don't get why some people complained about reverse freefall cars on a reverse freefall ride.
Peace out -

next time when you do a colour guy, can you make it transparent? i'd love to see what was going on underneath is all without referring back and forth

This! While Shotgun's park has some pretty terrific spots in terms of quality, some details just don't make sense, and if the park had a little more concept in it, it would've probably beaten every park.
But nice job Liam, I thought ride6 was a builder, as the adventurous style around the reverse freefall reminded me of his work. Didn't saw Tolsimir, but great job on those ships! Like some others, didn't really like that reserve freefall though..
You forgot me and rofl and that map btw

i don't think hyperdetailing is overrated, it's just really difficult to get right so it often goes wrong.
