RCT Discussion / Forgive me, I'm new. Please: How do I implement 8 cars or CS downl

I've played this game since I was a young'un but have never attempted any sorts of hacks and am having trouble.

I have windows 8.1, and am running RCT2 Triple Thrill Pack in windowed mode. I have downloaded 8 cars, Son of a Beast, and a beginners workbench and cant for the life of me find an answer on how to make them work in game. Do I need them in a specific location on my computer?  With the trainers I get "No process" errors if I try to do anything.

Again, terribly sorry, the answer has to be somewhere, but I just cant find it.

That sounds like the trainers aren't detecting that the game is running. Make sure you're running the trainers with the same compatibility settings as the game itself.

8cars just doesn't work for some people. I have 8.1 Pro on my Surface and I can't do anything at all. On my PC with Win7 Ultimate I can do everything but Edit Ride Stats menu. I have a virtual machine with XP Mode setup for all more intense hacking, which is annoying but was my only option.

As for CSO, just open a park with it and it will be added to your game. Sometimes there are ride data files that can't be added automatically - these will be included in any file if you need them from this website. You'll just need to copy them to your RCT2's ObjData folder manually before opening. Also workbenches are better sources of CSO than accolades because, to save file size, submitted parks are trimmed to the bare minimum objects to be exported with the file as part of the uploading process. So you will get incomplete object sets.
