Haha from an enthusiasts stand point it's just rediculous. Comparing iron rattler and mamba against each other. Every coaster claiming huge achievements. Some of the rides are from cookie cutter layouts.
It's more humorous than anything from someone who's knows the industry as we do. The adjectives I hear the announcer use to describe the return hills on a Morgan hyper.
"The train than rockets up into a series of not one, not two, but FOUR intense camelbacks!!!!"
Or perhaps I'm the only one who finds this humorous.
Nothing like showing coasters that are decades old in the newest season. Anyone else have thoughts on this?? Sure were in the minority here but it's still hilarious. -

All coaster programmes are awful to watch, but at the same time are compelling due to the fact they are coaster programmes.
The only decent coaster programme I've actually seen is the one where they follow the construction of 3 wooden coasters (one of them being The Voyage), can't remember the other coasters, one is a GCI though, or the name of the programme, but that is the only relatively factual and manageable to watch coaster programme I've seen.

I had this old special from the Travel Channel from probably... 2000 or earlier. It mostly featured Kennywood, but since it was recorded on VHS I got to see old commercials every time I watched it too. I don't even remember what it was sepcifically about, it just talked about different rides, how they were built, what kept them running, a little bit of manufacturing... I loved that thing to death. Never saw much of theme parks on TV after that, though. But yeah, generally any time it comes up anywhere (even on the internet) it's all "XTREEEEMEEEE" and makes me cringe.

^i know the one you're on about, had a lot about the Steel Phantom transformation and Thunderbolt, and had good information on a few other coasters and parks. Was a good watch. -

The problem I have with Insane Coaster Wars is they pick the best coaster by having people rate their experience as soon as they get off of a ride and then compare the scores of 4 rides to see who won but the people didn't ride the other 3 rides in most cases so that's just completely pointless since they have nothing to compare their experience to.
I know it's a TV show and not a scientific survey but if you don't ride the other 3 coasters then you can't pick a "winner" out of a group of 4.

I think I stopped watching after they picked a Vekoma GIB as one of their "top inverted coasters." Uhhhhhhhh no, my home park has two that are much better (talon & possessed, even though that one is also cookie cutter). Also I currently don't have cable.

FUCK.
I hate this show to death. Geezus.
But it was pretty funny to see Elissa ride Insane Speed with some rando and not Robb. Which leads me to think that even Travel Channel has gotten wind of his douchiness.
I still record all the episodes though.
On a side note:
It was stupidly enraging when a GP said "Airtime? I think I'll give that a 90" about Titan at SFOT. God the people they pick are so fucking stupid.
I could rant for days.

You guys can consider yourself lucky. Try to watch something about coaster in a german TV show. As coaster enthusiast, I obviously use the english term for the coaster elements, but german TV shows tend to invent their own names (and no, I don't mean they translate them).

Having a Vekoma SLC on the show ruined it for me. I feel like a lot of the coasters featured shouldn't even be featured. Like the floorless Elissa and that other guy rode. I felt like it was extremely out of place on a show called Insane Coaster Wars.

I had no idea this show even existed because I abhor everything that the Travel Channel has become over the past decade.

Honestly, I really don't give a fuck.
I've really adopted a "to each his own" attitude towards certain coasters. If someone thinks that a Aftershock at Silverwood is a gem while Patriot at Worlds of Fun is a turd, then so be it. it's his opinion.
