As soon as it went to penalties, you knew Argentina would win.

 

They don't deserve to go through to the final, but it doesn't matter because Germany will beat them.

i don't know wether to support the team that beat us, or our rivals. let's just hope they all catch food poisening

It was a close match. The Netherlands did fantastic given the circumstances and overall it has been a great world cup. Of course I'd love a final game against Germany, but I'm completely at peace with tonight.

It was a boring match until Netherlands pressed on in the final 10 minutes and extra time.

 

But anyhoo, whilst a Netherlands v Germany final would have been great, my support turns to Germany.

 

Good luck to Netherlands against Brazil in the third place match. Should be a good game.

Obviously disappointed that the Dutch didn't make the final but I guess it's nice to know that they now won't lose to Germany; which I would argue is a much worse fate.

Can't believe the world cup is over tomorrow/today... so fast. best world cup in my lifetime...so far. Brazil are so shite without neymar its unbelievable. PSG are already regretting paying a world record fee for a defender in david luiz the guy is a liability. He must be "blind" to have headed that ball to there.... Can't see anything but a german victory tomorrow, I do hope Argentina win just for Messi so he can take his rightful place as the best player ever. Doubt it will happen though.

Germany to smash it. Extra days rest and not playing 120 minutes previously will help them massively.

I'm rooting for Argentina tonight, they didn't play impressive as Germany but got the results. And they have some world class attacking players including the best footballer in the world! I hope Messi will play the game of his life tonight, it should be his evening...

Great match. Never would've guessed the sub scoring at the last minute. Sucks for Argentina and Messi though

i wasn't really rooting for any team because we're rivals with germany and argentina beat us in the semi-finals. this match could really have gotten both ways, argentina was very strong both offensively and defensively. i couldn't stand schweinsteiger sitting on the ground in the last minute and a half though when messi was about to take the free kick, he really was able to just walk to the side of the field

Very true, but I don't think they deserved to win based on one match.

In the end, it is decided in one match... But I agree Germany deserved it more if you take the whole tournament in account.
