How's the voting going to work? Are we voting on two to move on, or just our one favorite, and the top two get to move on?

Feel free to PM me or Liam or both of us with any queries.
Manual, there will be a public vote where you vote for 1 person and the top 2 go through. We can have a poll be multiple selections, but can't stop people voting for more than 2. So we will stick with 1 vote each, top 2 go through. -

What about within our own group? Do we just assume each person votes for themselves in their group, or is there some crazy system to keep people from voting in their own groups?

If everyone votes for themselves there's no problem. There won't be a crazy system. I advise you to just vote on the best entry or to not vote at all. If you honestly think you made the best micro in your group, I don't have any problems with it either, but I think not many people share my opinion... Vote anything as long as you vote with integrity!

If it's a public vote, we can see what others voted, so I'm sure that there's a plan for that. I'd imagine that in a tie-breaker, votes for self being ignored would be a potential solution.

Vote however you want. We can't control how people vote, if they vote for themselves, if they don't. We can't control if someone can vote on an LL match up either.
We are just relying on people voting, as Liam says, with integrity. -

Black tiles seem to be causing a lot of problems.
A black tile won't count as used space if they are meant to be an extension of the black space around the outside of the map. Black tiles in this case are used for aesthetic reasons and to avoid having a large amount of land just sitting there unused. They aren't used tiles. This counts for all weird shapes, donuts, islands, squares, whatever, if it is meant to represent the blank space outside of a map then it isn't a used tile.
The outside of a map isn't usable, you can't build coasters over it etc, so therefore a black tile with coasters and floating path, floating objects etc, cannot count as the outside of a map and therefore the black tile counts as used space.
If a black tile is intended to be outside the boundary of a map, it doesn't count. If it is part of the micro, it counts.
At the end of the day, it is down to you to make your own personal judgement. If you are having to do things to find loopholes to give you extra space then the chances are you are doing something 'illegal'.
Feel free to check with me via PM or whatever, but use your own judgement, if there is nothing on a tile but a black tile and it isn't contributing to the micro in anyway, it isn't used. If it is like swoon and has shit built all over it, it will count as te black tiles are part of the micro. Common sense will ultimately prevail. -

Sorry about bothering you again, but the "a black tile with coasters and floating path, floating objects etc, cannot count as the outside of a map and therefore the black tile counts as used space." Doesn't count for the invisible path over blacktiles that you use to get peeps in your park right?

Faas, I'm routing my peeps in underground to be safe. I think it'll look better too, as peeps walking through space outside the map tends to ruin immersion for me a bit.

If everybody votes for one entry in a group of 4 will there be a second vote for the remaining 3?

^LMAO
Faas, sorry, peeps can float if it's the way you want them to access your map. I believe I covered that earlier about 10 pages ago lol so don't worry haha. Hacking and enabling peeps to reach your micro from the entrance is allowed and won't count against you -

Could you walk through how to submit your park to someone who's abit thick? I've not finished my park yet, but I didn't quite get how I was supposed to submit it once I am done. I've never put a park on here before.

"Submissions
Please submit your entry as a non-competitive park submission, and please add [MM2014 Round #] at the end of your submission's name so that we can differentiate from normal submissions and understand what round you intend the entry for (change the # to the corresponding round number)."To submit your park, go to the 'Parks' tab at the top of the page, go down to 'Add park', then fill out the info. Since it's round 1, you would put MM2014 Round#1 after the name of your entry. To make it a non-competitive submission you would put 'none' where it says Accolade. Then click 'Add park' button at the bottom when done.
