Basically, all sports have it to where the reward for being the best is facing the weakest so that the odds are the two best meet to decide a champ.

 

But then you get a predictable contest... Tournaments where a little, unknown player/team beats the big boys are the best. People love those unexpected performances so it would be stupid to give the bigger players protection so they won't meet each other (in the early stages).

Alright, fine, I'll see if I can come up with some stuff. I'll probably stick to LL for this.

If you want to see fresh new talent take down the crusty old geezers like me then what you want to see is exactly a standard seeding... Look at March Madness... There are always a couple 6+ seeds that run through the tourney despite being "underdogs" in pretty much all of their games. Upsets aren't upsets if you place the established against the established and the unknowns against the unknowns. If it's groups of 4-5 with 2 advancing it should be 2-3 established players and 2-3 relative unknowns. Let it shake out however it may...

I'm in Europe until the end of the month w/o computer, so I definitely can't. Unless if the due date is ridiculously far in the future (Protours). On a related note, yesterday I drove past Breda NL; I think the European chapter of NE is based out of there.

Well unless he works 24 hours a day then that's not an excuse. I could build a decent quality micro in about 10 hours. Flight of Horus for example took me about 10 hours worth of work. and I had/have a job at the time of building
