HALLLELUIAHHH!!! Also, I wonder if these will work slightly better than my disc, and if they updated them at all to work better with windows 7/8, since my screen goes into low graphics mode when I run it

I dont believe they have made any changes whatsoever. I would be highly surprised if they did considering this seems to be a last minute decision evidenced by the poor screenshots and videos uploaded to steam to promote the game.

Stupid question, but is there any benefit to buying the cd version rather than this version for Loopy Landscapes? Will it give you any issues with codex / the drexler patch or anything else? If not I'm buying it immediately.

i think they'll make more money with the rct circlejerk like they're doing now (example from the rct2 video:"make people sick!"). but for NE it would be a lot better if they would show some of the stuff that got spotlight or other things to get people into playing the game creatively, i doubt it that most people into the circlejerking will actually play the game for more than 2 hours

mhhh maybe they added RCT , because there is a new one "Rollercoaster Tycoon 4" . Could be a reason for it.

Dang it, I thought I was the first person to see this! Oh well. this may bring more players to NE in the long run, which is a good thing.

Got beast trainer to work on the steam version of LL, but I'm not able to open up saved game files; doesn't seem to recognize SV4's, or I don't have it patched correctly to do so. Also worth noting, it starts off in windowed mode, and readjusting the window results in a larger view, but the resolution stays the same. 

You'll need to drexler patch LL otherwise nothing will open.

Does anyone know if the steam overlay works properly with the windowed mode on RCT2? If yes, this might be the third time I'm buying the game. Love seeing how much I played what.

By showing people just how incredible this game can be, and what you can achieve in it then I would bet that an awful lot more people would become interested and start playing. (Although I haven't actually seen the promo vid I'd assume it's probably not too great haha).

 

Nonetheless, hopefully by releasing it on Steam more people will at the very least have a look and hopefully as a result the community will continue grow.

Tried the LL patch, doesn't recognize the exe. Neither does the drexler. Also, having done some research, it seems that the patch isn't effective on deluxe, which is what is being distributed. It's explained here, apparently the coding is "anti-trainer" on 1.20.015 http://forums.rctspa...showtopic=21827 Interestingly enough though, Beast trainer works perfectly on it.

 

So the steam version will not support the LL content on this site, which kinda sucks

 

Worse comes to worse, I still have my LL disk, having it on steam is a bit more convenient though. I have gotten LL and drexler working in the past on my computer, but the compatibility issues were a lot worse compared to the current distro. 

 

Hoping I don't have any troubles with RCT2, that's my main game anyway, but seeing as there aren't really patches that are needed to open parks or get trainers to work, it ought to work right away. Also, wondering how easy it'll be to port over my CS library from my current install, so I'm a bit hesitant to buy it yet (that and it will probably go on sale at some point).

I'm sure it would be patchable had we someone like Drexler still around with the desire to do it. But afraid he's long long gone.
