Well, I was hoping this would never happen, but the inevitable did. Both the website and Facebook page were updated earlier this afternoon, after hinting about it for a few weeks using hashtag #RCT4M.

Thoughts? I'm beginning to think there is no hope for the series anymore...

I'm not too bothered. We've advanced RCT2 and RCT(CF/LL) so far that I'm not really needing another full theme park simulation, and NL2 is the best for coasters.

I hate absolutely all mobile "gaming". That screenshot looks like crap, doesn't deserve the RCT name. Ill bet there's micro transactions. I wonder if you can make a tycoon game pay to win?

NOPE
wait, Atari still owns RCT, ug
I share the opinion on most mobile gaming, but granted I have a lot of down-to-earth developer friends who would probably cringe at this as well.

The coaster in the screenshot is a death machine...
And what Matt said. Yeah, it looks like there are gonna be microtransactions, hence the + buttons next to the money and stuff. Looks disgusting and awful. -

I'm glad 50 year old houwewives get to enjoy this franchise now. Quit complaining, like we were expecting something good to come out of this.

Whilst this may not appeal to us. What we've got to realise is that if anything, this will hopefully push people to looking into the old RCT series, and thus, perhaps give us new members.
It is a disgusting game yes, but if it is successful, it could well be successful for us.

Yeh, aparently it's a port of this.
It's meant to basically be a Facebook version of this, but they are claiming it as a new PC game.

Oh I read it on reddit lol, I assumed they had gotten it from an article.
Yeah, here you go:

Mobile devices: Roller Coaster Tycoon iOS...
Online games: Roller Coaster Tycoon....
Says to me that it's just a port of this game into facebook, much like many mobile apps.
