thats were my section goes, it errrr, sucked
My thoughts exactly... I was prepared for the Station crowd to see my section.Good news on Survivor though...especially considering I'm on one of the maps....I never expected NE members to vote on it (obviously), but this should throw an interesting twist on it...
Now, the NE posters decide the fate. (scary thought)
My worst work, not that you care
5 day turn in dates suck
and so does my section
So vote of me, if you can figure out what my section was...
Edit: I hate this :too many people online: crap, its annoying, get a better host... -

Yes Im thinking hq could become the next station. If freak would figure out what the hell is wrong with the forums. They just went down again. Also i know mantis hates those of us at UK, but if yu guys need somewhere else to hang, just come on over.Well, In the future, im sure that 5000 new RCT sites will pop up. What the community needs to do is pick one of these new sites as the new rctstation, and throw their support behind it.
I personally think the NE experience will be good from some of those Station members. If they pulled the shit they pulled at RCTstation, they would be flamed in an insane fashion...but, it wasnt allowed over there.
Good to hear about survivor. -

One of the things that will be new and sad after the loss of RCTS is that all the clubs there will be seperated. I already know that RCT:U and RCT:R are at the Market. RCT:I will probably go to RCTs.com if they set a section up. RCT:M??? RCT: SS is currently at Tycoon Freaks. And RCT:A is no where to be seen.
I enjoyed have those clubs all together, we would help eachother and compete against eachother. Now we have been seperated. -

No, RCTR does not have a forum at the market unfortunately, unless one was made without me knowing. One of the things that will be new and sad after the loss of RCTS is that all the clubs there will be seperated. We actually might relocate to RCTHQ if Freak permits. Maybe find another site too.
But holy shit, this whole thing caught me by suprise. -

Ya, that's another negative effect.I enjoyed have those clubs all together, we would help eachother and compete against eachother. Now we have been seperated.
Most clubs (especially the better ones) were concentrated at the station because of the club folders, and large exposure, and now with the Station gone, I'm sure there will be much less competition. -

Yes, I'm trying to, get into contact with critic to see if he has anyone's e-mail. If not, well, red did say he was saving everything on his home computer, maybe he would be nice enough to give me that info. One of the things that will be new and sad after the loss of RCTS is that all the clubs there will be seperated. I just lost touch with the site after the ban. I think a lot of people did. Nothing ever happened there, and nothing much is happening there now. -

Were working on changing that. We have a whole new staff, and a new webmaster. You should come on back.

Don't worry Dingo, the Stationers are still here. Though the RCT Station is gone, Vertex, Mike, Rob, Spidey, Kai, Mantis... we're all still here. I really don't want to give full comment on the station because this is something I'm in a bit of denial about. I been there for too many years to see it go awayI'm not going to even bother saying that I'm sad, as isn't that obvious? This will have a big impact on the community in general... that could be good, or bad (probably). I hope NE doesn't follow the same fate, as I have heard the bandwith issues have become bad. Bothe here and www.rct2.com are gonna get a lot of new members, and that could even make thigs worse.
What am I gonna do? Most of you here at NE probably don't know me. I was a mod at RCT Station, and, although I didn't post here much, I always liked the site, forums and will (obviously) be here a little more often to check out parks in progress, and stuff like that.
I'll miss the site, its too bad things had to work out this way -

iris is working this issue right now. I believe he's trying to get a new server that's three times bigger than the current one. When Survivor kicks off, it's sure to bring more people around more often causing an overload on the current server. Just stay tuned, it'll be here eventually.Umm...where's Survivor? I thought it was supposed to be up today?

This may just trigger an RCT Boom on Danimation, too.Chocobogo and the big-time sites will be having more visitors than usual.
BUT....
RCTStation was basicly the main reactor of RCT/2.
If it closes,it's possible it will take half the RCT Community with it.Starting with the Big sites, going down to the smaller sites.Only a handfull of Sites will be left.(It will overflow the big sites, making them close down, then they'll overcrowd the smaller sites.) -

You know I don't want to interrupt your grief but I've been a member of the RCT community since the very beginning and I never posted at RCT Station. It's really a shame to lose a big fan site like that but it wasn't the only RCT community and as sad as I am for the people who loved that site, its closing honestly does not affect me much. Losing your community like that must feel really bad so I feel sorry for all of the RCT Station folks but I think doomsday predictions are a little close-minded. RCT Station was not the entire RCT community and the game will continue to live on.
That being said, I hope you don't think I'm not being welcoming. I hope you guys can find a new home at NE or somewhere like it where your parkmaking will be acknowledged and respected. We're all RCT fans after all, and that's all that matters. -

I don't get it. Everyone thinks that NE is going to be going down soon. It's not. Sorry to burst your bubble, all you RCT Community Prophets-Of-Doom, but once we get on the new server (No set date, so don't ask), NE will be fine - It's fine now, too, except for the damned 25 connection limit. -
Toon Offline
The damned 25 connection limit is driving me crazy. So hopefully sooner than later. I know I'm hearing rumblings elsewhere from people trying to connect over here for the first time and giving up. As for the RCT community it'll chug along as healthy as ever. The station did have a lot to offer, but I found myself visiting there less and less as I got better at the game. I don't know when the last time I viewed the projects forum there was. 99% of the parks I'm interested in are advertised here as well (or here exclusively). Basically the only forums I visited were the club forum for RCTM and scenery projects and submissions. The station will be missed but this isn't a portent of doom as some of you suggest. I do thank Red for the site tho....it really introduced me to the RCT community and I've met some great people there who I'm sure I will remain in touch with for a long time. -

And I know it's devastating for many of you, but my site is down too! I'm sorry to leave you all in a desperate situation, without my rambling nonsense and ridiculously irrelevant content, but i'm looking for a new host (now that tycoonplanet decided to axe my site and ignore my e-mails). -

Relax everybody. To whoever said Danimation will have an RCT boom, I'm still laughing, thank you.
Anyways, NE will be better then ever the instant we get on a new server.
You guys aren't even going to be ready for all the updates we have planned.
Here's what you can expect, as soon as NE is on our new server (they're all finished and ready)
-RCT Survivor (Thank Mike Robbins for this revival)
-NextElement RCT2 Coaster Contest
-3 Previously Unreleased NE Collabo Parks, All Pages Are Ready (Master's Isle, Chateau Lake, and Florencia Valley)
-List Update
-A gigantic annual update that has never been done before (has taken 4 months of work, hope you guys appreciate it)
-Week 5 of H2H2
If bandwith comes into issue, we may end up implimenting a Members-Only style of site. This would cause more people to join, it would definitely keep our bandwith down, and it would make being banned a whole lot more consequential. I mean, if you're banned, no more downloading parks.
I'm also looking to possibly acquire a new mod, so if anybody is interested in that, please reply.
If you were a mod at the Station, that's even better (not saying the person has to be, but there were a few Station mods I admired.)
So, lots of updates coming. New Element is going to be better then it ever was, RCT2 will become more prominent, and updates will be getting more frequent, and in some cases, more creative. So for all you prophecizing New Element following Station to close...you couldn't be more wrong..
We're just getting started -
rctfreak2000 Offline
Well, you know I would be willing to mod, but I doubt you would pick me.
I'm here to support NE, and even if bandwidth doesn't become an issue on the new server, you may still want to impliment the members only feature in order to keep it down BEFORE it becomes a problem.
And I wanna see that list update. hehe.
@mantis - Yes, devistated is the word...
