How do these google hangouts work?

Its like a chat room, except you can talk with mic and share your screen. Very cool, helped a lot during H2H in giving live critisims and comments on parks.

But you don't have to use the mic or camera. I prefer to not use them... So it's basically Twitch then, with much less lag (none at all?), and multiple persons can stream at the same time. I think a few days ago, like four or five of us were screensharing at the same time. I was switching between G Force's, alex' and Shotguns' park while working on my own.

Every time I try to use Hangouts it tells me I need to connect a camera or microphone, even if one already is connected, and won't let me do anything else. Never gotten it to work.

So I tried to watch Shogo´s stream but I basicly didn´t see shit. Is there a magic button I have to hit first?

Yeah I tried to watch the stream/hangout as well, but it wouldn't work. This is what I saw..

You need to allow google to access your mic and camera, even if you dont use them.  It wont let you enter the hangout if you dont allow access.
