I just watched some of what you were working on last night. very nice as always... it looks like Twitch muted a lot of it though (I'm assuming because of the music you were playing?). I've never seen them do that before...

It was added a few weeks ago. It's a system similar to the Content ID matching system on Youtube, but instead of redirecting the revenue from the stream, it simply mutes that part of the stream. Originally it muted a whole half an hour even if the copyrighted music was only played for 30 seconds, but I believe it mutes shorter chunks now.

But yeah, Rct VoD's will be destroyed now. The only way to get around it is to record it at the same time and upload to Youtube, but I know most Rct streamers around here are using their laptops, so I doubt their CPUs would be able to handle to load of playing the game, streaming the game and recording it at the same time.

They could just turn the music off while they're streaming...  That might help the laptop's CPU a tad too, if there's no music program playing.

but music makes streams more fun! also is playing music from youtube (last.fm) still allowed? 

All music is allowed while you're streaming, but if you've played ANY copyrighted music in your stream, it will be muted. That includes anything on Youtube, Last.fm, Spotify, iTunes. Anything that isn't Royalty Free.

But it's only for the video when the stream is finished, so it's not too big a deal really.
