I entered in a park, but when I put an ampersand in the title, it displays as "&" instead of just "&".

Interesting. Thats what this testings for though thanks. I'll work on that ASAP. but have a flight at 5am to Norway so may be a day or two for now I changed it to "and" as that seems to work fine

it's the HTML entities. it's converting it from & to & to save in the DB, probably making it safe for Database entry when it's being submitted. you need to convert it back when you're displaying the data so it shows & instead of &

well clearly this works as I actually used it yesterday to look up the season start/end times of korean parks (may be planning a visit in november)

I have now launched it in a limited capacity from my other site Vertical Horizons. had a few people join up (Includign a few of you guys) and start adding parks which is awesome. Now over 100 parks in the directory which is great just got to keep the momentum really. But it seems to be going well
