Hey guys!
I haven't been as active on the site lately as much as usual, mostly due to work being so crazy this time of year. No worries, I still build and play RCT fairly often though haha. So you can expect new work from me soon:]
Lately I've been writing and recording a lot of music, so I figure i'd share it with you all. This is a much different approach to songwriting than I've taken before, and I find that I am really enjoying the process and end-product so much better.
For any of you who have heard any of my previous music, this is a big change. The emphasis is heavy towards melody and ambience, while still retaining enough repetition and catchy hooks to hopefully draw you in. Its very laid back music, and personally I love listening to it while I am working or creating something [photoshop work, RCT, web design, etc]
So I'm hoping you guys will dig it:]
As of now, I have a short EP that is free to download, or if you just want to stream it online:

However, my favorite track is my newest, which can be heard right here:

Let me know what you think! I always enjoy hearing your opinions, and value your critiques.
Thanks guys.

It's really weird to think you came straight from a metal band to this. I think you've got a future in this, keep it up. -

Haha I've always loved this kind of music. Even when I was in the band, my playing style always reflected the more melodic/ambient approach.
Glad you guys dig it! -

I'd love to work with you on something in this style tbh,
have you ever thought of including a more acoustic approach? would be awesome with this setting... -

I was considering it, but due to my current recording equipment limitations, I can't record any live instruments.
I somehow misplaced my ProTools key, so the only software I'm able to use at the moment is FL Studio 7 and Audacity.
I've managed to get a decent quality sound surprisingly. I'll be purchasing a new laptop soon, and am planning on upgrading all of my studio equipment:]
As far as working together, I am more than willing to collaborate with anyone really. Its as simple as recording vocals or instruments to a set song or BPM, and sending me the raw files for me to edit and mix. -

ever used a semi acoustic guitar with an element?
should give you a lot of options, I bought a fender semi acoustic for 250euros wich is cheap for how good it sounds...
What you have is really great and I personally like the dark airness of the sound you've managed to create -

holy fuck, the ghost is amazing. do more of that screaming throughout the song, man. if you could even just add a little more pop influence over ambience i think you'd have gold, here. -

What we really want is more Isla Muerta.
I think my favorite is The Diver still. Love them all. -

I will say this: While neither of your bands are my cup of tea, I can say that you do what you do very well. ATSA was too heavy for me and this was too soft, but I can respect the talent and ability in both of those bands. As an aspiring musician myself, it's always fun to see fellow members of a community involved in music. I've got a long way to go, but one day you might see me on here with a band. One can only dream for now. -

Thank you all for the kind words! Very encouraging to find that people are enjoying this:]
I started working on a new song a couple days ago, and I figured I would share the progress with you all so far.
Its a cover of 'Chin Up' by Copeland. It actually fits my style very well, and I am having a blast recording this one:]

Nice dude! I still want to see you do this style with more pounding rhythms and more intense vocals. -

I'd totally ignored this due to your more heavy approach with your previous stuff, which isn't to my taste.
But I just listed to Ghost, and it's really good. Incredible. My issue with it is that the vocal is almost a bit TOO quiet. I love the softness of it and the ambience about the whole track, but find the vocal could do with being just a little bit louder.
Keep it up with this sort of stuff and I think you'll get far.
It actually reminds me very much of Atlum Schema (which is Roomie's friend I believe) -

I'm actually in the studio now to start tracking my first solo album. So I'm really excited about that!
Its fun recording at home, but it'll be nice to have professional quality songs haha.
