Hey guys, I'm new here but I've been lurking for over four years, and I've finally decided to get serious about my rct2 playing. I've been playing a lot of other games besides rct2, and I'm pretty rusty. If someone has a little free time to show me the complex ropes, that would be so amazing and I'd be grateful. I can't really learn how to use 8carspertrainer if there's nothing on the Internet about it. If you are interested in helping a guy out, either reply here or email theantagonist777@gmail.com.

By the way, ever single map/coaster design I've seen on here I've stared at for hours at a time. The fact that there are people out there that an create such amazing, beautiful things with a decades old game is the reason Ive conquered my fears of talking to you masterminds and created an account. This is a good place to start. Most of the pinned topics are helpful, though some are abit more advanced.

Most of 8cars is pretty self-explanatory, and alot of what takes more knowledge you will pick up over time. I would recommend you download a few versions and start by playing around with 8cars, particularly Zero Clearances.

Once you have specific questions it will be easier to answer them. Also, if you join one of the live streams, we would be glad to answer your questions on the spot.

i honestly just opened a park and experimented with every button on 8 cars per trainer and son of beast. most of them really just do exactly what they say, but some are a little trickier (map object manipulation comes to mind). but there are tons of tutorials for the trickier parts. I'd say just jump into something and if you have a specific question, definitely shoot a PM or ask in one of the topics. check out twitch.com/pacificoaster and a few others to watch people building live, that is sure to help you get the hang of what's going on in the creation process.

Haha I am quite the lurker! Thanks to both of you guys for helping me out, I just remember being able to use 8carspertrainer the first time i opened it and being able to use it how i wanted, I'm not really sure what version i downloaded. Also thanks a bunch for the twitch.tv reccommendation! Also, on a more specific note, is there a workbench that comes with a precompleted parking space , and if not, what is a good workbench to use/that you guys use? Thanks for a warm welcome! I'm glad to be a part of this really close community.

The ProTour bench or Louis! 2013 are pretty good. Also, 8 cars comes with a readme that explains most of its functions pretty well. But more in-depth hacks will require some searching in Ask the Experts or on google.

Also is there a way to uninstall the triple thrill pack feature of rct2? since you guys dont seem to like it much

in the custom scenery forum, one of the stickied topics is louis's bench. just download it and you're good to go, it couldn't be easier.

also, don't bother uninstalling ttp. I have ttp and as long as you don't put any ttp scenery/rides into the park (which won't be a problem if you're using a bench) it doesn't make a difference. plus you get some more scenarios to play if you're so inclined.
