Been listening to Trouble Will Find Me by The National a lot lately. It's one of the few albums where I think every song is great; I could pick any one of them out and put it on repeat. (There are probably less than 10 albums I can think of that are like that for me...some include Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd and most Animal Collective albums.) Same probably applies to Random Access Memories. Both are tied for my favorite album of the year.
Also, new Arcade Fire album in October! Already psyched -

i see people say this a lot and it genuinely confounds me, it seems to me you're either listening to bands you don't actually like or you're way too discriminating. if i can't listen to an album front-to-back its a bad album -

I can listen to albums front-to-back no problem, but there are songs that are weaker than others and wouldn't be very good if repeated. I guess I should've been more clear; there are only a few types of songs that can be repeated over and over and not lose their edge. Now, I can listen to a whole album over and over and not get tired of it (Radiohead's Hail to the Thief), but picking out individual songs to put on repeat would be tough.i see people say this a lot and it genuinely confounds me, it seems to me you're either listening to bands you don't actually like or you're way too discriminating. if i can't listen to an album front-to-back its a bad album
I apologize, that was a pretty badly worded post. But you do make a good point. -

Of all the few albums I've listened to fully, Paradise Valley by John Mayer easily is the best of them all. Dear Marie is a masterpiece. -

I don't think many people are into prog on this site... But if you are, check out The Mountain by Haken. Easily my favourite album of the year. -

^Eh... not really my thing. The musicianship is good, it just doesn't really appeal to me. But speaking of prog, Dream Theater's new album will be released this month and, while I doubt it will be as good as Images and Words, it will be nice to hear what Mike Mangini can actually do on drums. A Dramatic Turn of Events was pretty weak drumming-wise since he wasn't in on any of the creative process, but that's not the case with this album. -

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories still holds my #1 after Yeezus failed to knock it off.
I mean, I love Yeezus now, but it took a while to get to really enjoy it, where RAM I enjoyed almost instantly. I'd say 20/20 Part 1 takes my 3rd spot. Yet to listen fully to Magna Carta Holy Grail and 20/20 Part 2.
#1: Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
#2: Kanye West - Yeezus
#3: Justin Timberlake - 20/20 Experience Part 1
