There's one ride that I'm absolutely blown away has not been picked yet. I barely passed it up in round two. I don't want to say what it is until someone takes it though />

There's quite a few I projected to be round 2-3 picks and they are still there o_O

^^ as far as flying coasters go, it's one of the better ones, although the best (Tatsu) was picked already. I didn't want to pick a Superman or a Flying Dutchman clone either, I've ridden one of each and neither is that great. But yeah, I'm not doing this according to polls, I'm doing it more off of my own knowledge and what I've heard from others. On the other hand, I can understand how Air could be a little more like Hydra at my home park, a good ride but rather overrated.

In terms of the ones that are still out there, there is one that I'm also thinking might be picked up soon, as it's supposed to be a great ride

I thoroughly enjoyed Air. Smooth, fun, and one of the only flyers to actually take advantage of track with riders on their back. Not a award winning coaster, but better than any other flyer I've ridden (Tastu was broken the day I went, mothafuckers!)

It's a personal preference. I'd pick X, Goliath, and Batman over Tatsu every day. Not to say Tatsu isn't incredible, just definitely not my favorite ride at the park.

batman is good, but just not original. you could ride one in kuwait, if you felt like it. goliath is a good ride for the park, just not a very incredible hyper. It has... maybe three big drops? And a really fast helix? I'd take a dozen airtime hills over that any day. Riddler's Revenge for me was the clear second placer, but I understand it runs better on some days than others. X is indeed a great ride, but at least when I went on it, a litle rough and with some incredibly slow waiting times.

If I want airtime hills I can ride Bizarro. Don't get me wrong, I love that shit, but Goliath has a place in my heart.

Batman has been cloned time and time again for the simple reason that it kicks ass and has a small footprint. Easily one of my favorite coasters. However Tatsu may have the slight edge because that pretzel is nuts.

I'm so happy that I'm not the only one that is running their picks of their own personal opinions and preferences. I felt that a lot of it was being based on where coasters place on Mitch Hawker, which isn't a bad thing, but I think when it comes to which parks have nicer layouts, I think the stronger ones are those that have a clear thought pattern over why each coaster is picked.

I like to think thats what people think when they look at my line up, that i've gone for a clear aesthetic with my park and will only choose coasters that fit that aesthetic regardless of where they rank on Mitch Hawker or other polls.

unfortunately apocalypse wasn't around when I was at sfmm. A good woodie will kick a steel coaster's ass any day. I'm dying to get out to holiday world, knoebel's, mt olympus, etc. Woodie's just have such a magical quality to them.
