Wouter,
This sounds bad, but it sort of works for me. When I'm at a career fair (I was just at one last September), I'm super nervous about having to talk to companies I'm interested in. So instead of going straight up to the companies I like, I pick some random business that I have no interest in, and go up and talk to them, and maybe give them my resume.
This works for girls too! (to an extent) If you're in a place where there are a lot of girls (school) and there's only one or a few that you might be interested in. If you want experience or just want to warm up before making the big dive, flirt with some other girls first that don't fit your interests, but still make sure you're sounding interested! You don't want any girls to find out that you're just "warming up" (some might say: "using") to them before you take aim and go all out for the real target. Once you feel that you've adequately prepared yourself and know how to flirt well, you can go ahead.
I literally just tried this out last Saturday and I can't believe it worked. The only thing is that some people might have a slight moral problem with it, depending on whether they think you used the "practice" girls and lead them on or not. But in the end, who knows, at a career fair I might get offered a job from one of the places I didn't care for, and end up accepting the job and liking it. Whereas you might get a call from one of the girls you practiced talking to, and you might end up having something special together.
Anyway, good luck, and I hope this made sense. I'm very tired and a little bit drunk.

That's a dick move, MorganFan, but it sounds 100% something every kid does in college so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
If you like a girl, talk to her. Why waste everyone's time by speaking to someone you don't even care about. Especially if you do this for a job; what if that job calls you? "Why did you submit your resume if you didn't want to work here?" Just makes more problems for everyone and hurts you in the long run because other jobs and other girls will find out you're a sleeze bag trying to play them to get what you want. Welcome to 2015, I guess. -

Dating is kind of a waste of time for me right now. I've dated four guys this year, and they've all been duds. Just going to wait for the right one to come along and not force it. Either way, I'm happy.

I ordered 10lb bags of gummy bears from Amazon.com that were delivered to my girlfriend's house a couple weeks ago. She hates that I'm away all the time, but candy placates her for the most part until I'm off the ship. -

I take back my previous statement on "Fuck women" and replace it with "Fuck men".
All men are arseholes.

According to modern discourse, there are millions of sexes. What was the super inflated acronym again? LGBTQABCDOMGWTFLMFAO? -

This basically describes how I feel about dating. Not going to go out of my way to find anyone anytime soon.

I'm not religious. I'm not anti-religion or anything, it's just not a thing I ever think about really. This has become a big problem lately for me. Almost every girl I've made any attempt to go anywhere with finds my beliefs out one way or another and either instantly sours on me or trys to convert me. Rather annoying.
Anyone else ever ran into this?

You mean your lack of beliefs? I have no experience with such situations, since I don't live in a medieval country. In what circles are you finding those girls? Maybe try to find girls in circles that are more open-minded. Perhaps even try Tinder and add a witty disclaimer to your profile. -

Yeh not like I'm hanging out at church. Most are coworkers or through hobbies. Evidently 18% of Texans identify as "none" religiously. So uh, that narrows the field.
