QOTSA-2002, why are you always six months behind? He War was so, like, January and stuff. We're now all eating up the Strokes' Newyork Cops, finally made available in the US via the Yes, New York compilation.
Oh, yeah... and Elephant! And Goldfrapp. And insulting Tricky and Liz Phair for making peice of shit records.
The world of "indie" music goes at a fast pace, you reall should keep up.
But anywho... Mantis is still proving that he has the best taste of anyone, except for me, concering just about, um, everything. Goldfrapp rules!
Oh, yeah - back to Yes, New York. Do you know that just about every CD-streaming website feature has had that thing up? I mean whats the fucking point in my buying it if once one site takes down their free stream, another puts it up?
With that said, Radio 4 kicks ass and is on it, and their song on it is exactly what I was just listening too! So, yeah. -

Dude, I was wet with anticipation for Yes New York, and I was disappointed to find it nowhere at Newbury Comics. Perhaps I need to go to the real indie record store next time. I would stream it, but I can never get streams to work, what with my lack of any sort of Real system and a 56k modem.QOTSA-2002, why are you always six months behind? Said modem is probably also the reason I'm always 6 months behind the indie scene. I'm not a trendy, you know. But give me credit for the Earlimart stuff that came out last week. And Gruvis Malt. They were 6 months ago, but I had them 6 months ago. So there.
I suck.
Back on topic... I'm listening to those cool beats on the Adult Swim bumpers. Wait, Home Movies just started. Now I'm listening to that. -

QOTSA-2002, about Yes, New York: don't get it. Just go out and buy (or listen to, if you own, or fuck, just download) the following CDs: The Strokes - Is This It? (Import), Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights, Radio 4 - Gotham, anything by the Sounds and anything by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Also, any classic Proto-Punk, Punk and Post-Punk (particularly of the New York variety) you own should be listened to, as well.
Really, with that you'll get the full CD. Most everything sounds like its off those, or actually is.
And no RealPlayer?
I mean, really. You can hate it all you want, but if you're into music and the computer, and you don't have the most popular streaming-media content player, um, you're weird.
And disgusting.
If you're just using it for streaming content, download an older version. One that isn't massively bloated, because after all, you don't want the features, just the file type.
But, whatever. -

1. I already have the Interpol CD, I'm waiting for the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs CD to go back on sale at Best Buy, and what makes the import version of Is This It better?QOTSA-2002, about Yes, New York: don't get it. 2. The Sounds fucking suck.
3. I got my new computer in February, and didn't realize I couldn't play the Real file type until I tried to stream Hail to the Thief. I thought I could use Winamp for it, but guess not. I'll go download something...soon.
Okay, back on topic. Listening to the new 311 song right now. It kicks my ass.
