You know when a metal band does a ballad, and it sounds fucking stupid and insincere and shit?
That's what an indie rock band sounds like. Except, all the time. Their entire career can be compared to Kiss doing a mellow love song.
It's especially funny because the douches that listen to this shit usually jump on other artists (usually the electronic variety), and bitch about how they're "unemotional", or some other stupid shit they know nothing about.
Who hasn't felt like Disc One track Ten once in their lives? I know I have!

I'm not a pretentious avant-garde fag, though, don't get me wrong, I hate Sonic Youth's Goodbye 20th Century as much as you do, but I mean, it's not like the rest of their career is particularly interesting either. Except for Confusion Is Sex through to Daydream Nation, of course. Confusion Is Sex is so fucking underrated, it makes me want to cry.

"Hypnotic" is one word for any of the songs. Another would be "overlong". A better one would be, "yawn".
