Killswitch Engage - A Bid Farewell.
BTW, yyo, you said you haven't even heard of Killswitch Engage, I think you'd like them. Here is the first single from their newest release, The End Of Heartache.

Not only do I love DCFC's music, but they are also the rare band whose lyrics I love as well. Not to mention, I like most all their lyrics. Not like Radiohead or Guster, where I like the lyrics in only maybe half of their songs, or Coldplay, whose lyrics I pretty much don't like at all, but like Modest Mouse, who have cool lyrics, that I can (sorta sometimes) relate to.
Emo (whatever that means) is awesome. -

Hmm..I listened to that Killswitch Engage.
There preatty good, way better than I would expect. They sound kinda like a toned-down At The Gates. But they need a guitar solo in there, and some of the clean vocals can get a little emo-ish (near the end). Otherwise it's good.

Rose of Sharyn is one of the more mainstream sounding songs, most of them have more growling, but it's all good.Hmm..I listened to that Killswitch Engage.

SF Marine World is using it as their "ad song" now. With a very scary "Chester the Molester" type of mascot. Help!!! -

That same commercial advertises every other Six Flags park, as well. It's a pretty disturbing spot.SF Marine World is using it as their "ad song" now. With a very scary "Chester the Molester" type of mascot. Help!!!

Those "Keane" guys, I can't figure them out.
I mean, are they worth it? If they were then they wouldn't be in the media or charts like they are, would they? -

Why do you think that? Just because a band gets media attention and promote themselves doesn't mean their music isn't "worth it"...
I say if you like it enough to want to buy it, then do so. Just because their popular shouldn't affect your decision.
Sure, there's a certain mystique about unknown bands, but that's mostly just self-gratifying. People should be happy when bands they like make it big, because it means that whole new opportunities are opened to the band, and you'd have thought you wanted the band to enjoy themselves and be successful and be able to take their music to more people...
Unless you're just a universal cynic in which case you shouldn't bother even leaving the house in case you're in some way doing something other people might do.
