I wasn't aware having a blog is arrogant. If people are interested, they will read it, so why can't he put it out there? Besides, he, like Iha, the rest of Zwan, the rest of SP, and musicians in general are in a business. You can love your art and what you do, and even be a perfectionist about it (which I think he is), but in the end, unless you're going to relegate it to a hobby like some do and get a day job, then you need to market yourself and keep people interested. If not, you'll be out on the streets, or forced back into a conventional job setting.
I don't consider that arrogant...survival really.
