I have been lent Deftones and White Pony. Not because I asked, but because the person to whom I lent Absolution felt guilty...

I'm not sure I like it. It's actually quite grating.
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
Yes. The Deftones have certainly descended into mediocrity.

First time listening to it, a bunch of my friends of the female gender always talk about it, and one of my guy friends said it's good, so I downloaded it, and it's not that bad.

^ are pavement good? They get good reviews in Q...

Yes. Pavement is quite good, though they are no more. But you may recognize the lead singer as Stephen Malkmus of Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks fame...who opened up for Radiohead on their East Coast leg of the U.S. Tour. Pavement is a bit poppy at times, but that's part of their goodness.

    And I am listening to:

    Treefingers
    Radiohead
    Kid A

    In a word: exciting.
  • mantis%s's Photo
I've heard you talk about Malkmus, but don't know any of his music.

    Scott 2

    from 1967....wow!
