this collection of songs my friend burned for me is really weird...it even has the Monkey Island soundtrack on it! And this doesn't sound like Papa Roach at all! -

I'm listening to "Pictures of You" by The Cure again, because that cursed commercial is on again. At least it's a good song. -

The massive ringing in my ears, caused by the Raveonettes and the Washdown (stellastar didn't show up - oh, well). It was the loudest concert I've ever been to - and I was right up there. I was a fucking one-man mosh pit. I was dancing. I was jumping. I was doing a strange mixture of the twist, the pogo, and the messed up dancing from so-bad-they-kick-fucking-ass 60s beach movies. It fucking rocked. A hole of around 20 feet was created - 20 feet for me to do my little dance - and attracting all the gorgeous emo chicks (well, no, not really. But I think the chick from the Raveonettes looked at me - a lot - and was smiling - a lot - too bad I couldn't go backstage - you had to buy their CD - I was much more interested in the kickass the Washdown T-Shirt - support local music! Yeah!) Oh yeah, the hole was soon filled by a lot of people who wanted to be as cool as me - they failed! Yes!
Anywho...
That was a lot of typing. Its the mass amount of energy you get when you're completely devoid of hydration, having multiple ulsers, epileptic (sp?) ceasures (sp?) and the best orgasm ever - all at the same time! Rock and Roll forever, Punk rules, as do the cool little designs the bouncers put on my hands so that I can't buy beer!
Me love it all! Except, the fucking Twilight is an overpriced peice of shit! $15 tickets, $4 water, $1 bathrooms - bullshit, bullshit, bullshit! -

I'm listening to the Washdown's EP - which is about a billion times worse than the live show! But at least I can turn the volume down on it (something the live experience didn't offer - sadly). Anywho - I probably should have gotten the Raveonettes CD - but it cost $13 and I only had $11.50 - so I got a shirt and the EP instead (which wound up costing $14 but my mother let me be in dept for a bit).
Anywho - even though the EP sucks, you should still get it. Mainly because I said so - and because I doubt they're going to be playing around any of you any time soon! But yeah, Tampa-bands own all! Even if they suck, they're still better than anything, because they're from Tampa! Or something.
I'm actually suprised at the fact that Tampa bands are as good as they are - you look on public access TV and they have local concerts, and its all Jam-bands completely devoid of talent (not that Jam-bands are completely devoid of talent - just these Jam-bands).
But, most of the local stuff I've gone out to see - well, all of it actually - has kicked ass.
Oh, yeah - the previous post was made in a state of sheer, utter and absolute insanity. Not that I needed to tell you that - but, whatever. Good concert - great concert - but, looking back at it the morning after, it doesn't seem quite as good as it did then. Nothing ever does though, does it?
