Staind - So Far away.
Not a bad song, soft, like most of there songs. I rather listen to pitchshifter (I think thats the name) on there first cd for some good Staind music.

The Men At Work and the Black Eyed Peas are brilliant! You all are devoid of taste - not that it wasn't already completely apparent.
I mean the Black Eyed Peas' new song isn't up to par with their earlier stuff (MTV2 in the US has been playing a lot of their older videos, brilliant music), but its still far better than 99.9% of all that is anywhere near as popular right now (at least in this portion of the globe).
And Men At Work's music is brilliantly crafted fun, which is all they want it to be and all it should be.
Oh, yeah...
Madonna - What It Feels Like For a Girl
...which is yet another great Pop song. What is all of your idiots problem with Pop music? Anywho...
I got it used at FYE today, mainly because I picked out a DVD that cost far less than what we had planned to spend (Waking Life for $11.99), so I was able to negotiate the purchase with my mother (it only cost $6.99).
Well worth the $6.99 - although I doubt I'd have paid more. -

Oh, and please just shut up cg. K?
Why? People were mentioning their opinions on the Black Eyed Peas - so I stated mine. Isn't that the purpose of an open forum? Yes, I do believe it is.
And QOTSA-2002 for some reason tried (and failed) to rip apart somebody with little taste in music, the moment he started to show some sign of it.
I was comming to his defense and the defense of the band, last time I checked, that wasn't a bad thing.
Anyways... -

cg? has the best taste in music of anyone here. If anyone denys that, they don't know music.
I need to get some good CD suggestions from him.

I need to get some good CD suggestions from him.
For you its difficult - one minute your all over Radiohead, then Korn, then big-beat, then you decide to sell all of your CDs and get the new Perfect Circle.
Huh?
You go all over the place - but only one place at a time, and quite obssesively I might add.
Besides, I don't think my taste in music is all that great actually - its just my taste in music. And yours is yours. Just get what you like... if you ever figure out what that is exactly.
But if I had to recomend any album, it would probably be Loveless by My Bloody Valentine. I'm presently obsessed with my search to find it in an actual record store (as opposed to online) and preferably on sale or used.
Sadly, that isn't exactly working out...
Same thing with the Lost In Translation soundtrack, wheras King Crimson's Discipline and Bowie's Heroes are both overpriced (list at 16.99, usually on sale for $18 or more), and Eno's Ambient 1: Music For Airports is on sale at Borders - but absent from every other store's shelves and I'm completely out of cash.
In case you were wondering, those are the CDs I'm presently on the look out for. I think I'll probably just save up and get them all off either Amazon or Barnes and Noble online.
Yeah - it will only cost around $60, or a month's allowance. And seeing as my allowance and the price of a CD, where meant to perfectly coordinate, its actually good that I can get 5 for what was the estimated price of 4, I guess. -

Yeah... I have weird tastes, and also have a weird tendency to only listen to something for like a month or less, and then move onto a totally different thing... I wish I could just stick with one, either that, or just know what the fuck to get when I go to the CD stores. I like lots of things, but I... I dunno. Its weird. I just haven't found the sound, or whatever, that I just love and can't get enough of. Considering you definatly have the best tastes here, I was wondering if you could just give suggestions, so I could listen to them to see if I like. If I do, I'll buy the CD, hopefully to listen to it for awhile. I hate how my tastes are... I'm never content with one thing, and after listening to a CD once, or whatever, I want to get another one. I'm quite weird. But whatever. I'm just trying to find what I like or something. So I'll check out Loveless by My Bloody Valentine and see what I think of it. In the meantime, I'll just go about my buisness being weird, and stuff. But yeah, if you do have any other suggestions, then tell me. Be it whatever. I don't really like just one thing, its just hard for me to like everything... ya know? Okay, probably not, but whatever. -

Pym Guy, I know what your saying. Same thing with me, in many ways - although I don't start over again from scratch - I just keep on adding, which is perhaps more healthy (and sensible).
I mean, I used to be heavily into Hip-Hop and Electronica, now I can't even stand to listen to most of that stuff - well, the Hip-Hop and Electronica I used to be heavily into, not Hip-Hop and Electronica period - I rarely even listen to DJ Shadow anymore. Go figure.
The only musical styles I've been able to stand throughout it all are Indie/Alternative, Punk/New-Wave and Gothic/Industrial (all of which are related, in a way) - which is scary - does that mean I have to go and buy black lipstick? And wear it? I'd much prefer red, or perhaps green. Or better yet, none?
Although, I am warming up to the idea of black... and lipstick...
Actually, most of the music I love was heavily informed by My Bloody Valentine - and much of it that wasn't informed by My Bloody Valentine informed My Bloody Valentine. Of course, that's why I got into them in the first place.
That, and the fact a band I love (Mira) covered one of their songs, and I liked the cover.
But, whatever - back on topic here.
I am listening to my Gary Numan CD again - although, I'm technically listening to it saved on my computer not from the actual CD. Oh, well.
