Darkness by Peter Gabriel, the very first song off of Up. A lot of people don't seem to like it - however, I think its a wonderful opener for a wonderful album.
I'm actually glad that I'm re-ripping all of my music in MP4, I'm forcing myself to listen to all of my music (to make sure it all ripped properly, sounds good, the playlists work, etc). Great fun! I don't think I've actually sat down and really listened to any of my albums in a month or two.
I'm actually starting to grow content with my collection, as opposed to hating it. I have a good variety of good music - it isn't amazing, but, good nonetheless and I can always work towards amazing (and I am).

And Gardner...what's this about new My Bloody Valentine? Weren't they supposed to have an EP out, and then canceled it, or some shit?

Basically...And Gardner...what's this about new My Bloody Valentine? Weren't they supposed to have an EP out, and then canceled it, or some shit?
The new film by Sofia Coppala (Lost In Translation) as well as its soundtrack album features a small handfull of new tracks by Kevin Shields - who is the creative genius behind the amazing band My Bloody Valentine - which sound exactly like My Bloody Valentine at its peak, if a tad bit more modern and obviously written for a film.
It also features one classic off of Loveless, although I forgot which one.
...so, it isn't exactly "new My Bloody Valentine" but for me, it is far more than close enough! Anywho...
I'm listening to Complex by Gary Numan. Synth-pop owns all, regardless of what anyone else tells you!
Edit: I have links to 30 second Windows Media Audio samples for three of the four (I thought I had all four, but one was another track - whoops!) new Kevin Shields/My Bloody Valentine tracks, for the already converted...

...yeah.
And, at the moment I'm listening to M.E. by Gary Numan - a sample of which is heavily featured in that "Where's Your Head At" (or whatever its called) song. It's better than that too, imo. -
