RCT Discussion / 8 cars Trainer and custom scenery

Hi Guys,

I have just got back into this game thanks to a few youtube videos and have been directed to you guys for help with all things RCT2!!! I am in the UK and have read that the 8 cars trainer is for the us version only? is this true? also i tried to download some custom scenery but was unable to get it into the game, any tips here would b great!

I have had a good look at the site and some of the parks you guys have made are amazing!!

You only have to download parks from here and the custom items will install when you open a park.

I'm also using the European version of rct2, so you should be able to use 8-cars.
Some functions may not work though.

I could not the 8 cars trainer to work, i installed it and followed the instructions but when tried it with the game it wouldnt open!

1. Start rct2
2. Open your savegame/scenario.
3. Press alt-tab or windowskey (if you have one), to return to windows while the game runs.
4. Start 8-cars.
5. When you go back in rct2, 8-cars initializes (you can read in the bottom of the screen).

Everytime you want to use a function, you'll need to alt-tab to windows.

I did what you said but it just crashed the game!!

Try another 8 cars version.

Wich Windows version are you using? Becouse 8-cars doesn't work so good on W7.

Im running windows xp! i am using wacky worlds n time twister pack so if i removed that would it make a difference?

That shouldn't matter.

I should delete them anyway, they're just using room in your obj.data list.

Try if these 8cars versions work for you:

(Note: Leave the 8-cars versions in their maps, when you copy them to your desktop, they will not work because they miss the .dll files, you can only copy 8-cars 1.302 to your desktop)
