Hi guys, I joined this website a long time ago and have never been active. I've recently re-purchased RCT2 and wanted to use the "8 Cars Per Trainer" program to merge tracks. I'm having some problems. I followed a tutorial from CoasterForce and did everything properly as the tutorial required to merge my two tracks together. With the game open and my tracks ready for merging, I opened 8 Cars, edited the new coaster (the new track) then edited my original in 8 Cars, but as soon as I select the settings (alternative color scheme 1, raise/lower track -2) and hit apply, this error pops up before I have a chance to hit cancel, finishing the track merge.
I'm using version 1.32. I've also tried using version 1.302 but I get the same error. Talk about frustrating. Is this a common problem people have had? Is there anyway to fix this issue?
Thanks guys,

In this case, the trainer has crashed, which can happen, but it's much more common to get an "error trapper" in the game for hacks. 8cars doesn't really like running on Windows 7. I've had the same problem using that utility on my new computer. Depending on the compatibility settings, you may get something similar to work (I know Map Object Manipulation works to a degree, and I have used that instead) There's plenty of documentation on this site, I would recommend looking up the "Merging on Windows 7" tutorial thread, it uses a different method and works better. You'll find a lot of other problems with 8cars running on windows 7 if you do a lot of hacking, but there's a good amount of documentation for addressing these. -

Thank you for your help. Didn't know it was a problem with Windows 7. I'll check it out. -
