If one of the adults who worked in the school had a gun on them, the entire thing could have been prevented. IT IS A PROVEN FACT THAT AREAS WITH MORE GUNS HAVE LOWER CRIME RATES!! Fuck all you people who want to take away are Constitutional right to protect ourselves.
Where I come from these sort of quotes are used just to have a good laugh. I kid people who can say stuff like this with a straight face. -

I believe it's to much. But they look at it more of a hobby. Some people take pride in a car, or a jet ski, or 4 wheeler or ect ect. It's an expensive 'toy' I know toy isn't what I should say when referring to a gun but that's what it is when you buy an AK-47. I hope I'm getting my point across here somewhat. And with the growing popularity in shooting ranges and clubs in this country I really don't see this going away.

You can't shoot children with a jet ski, can you? -

I can do that, because it's 100% true. We've learned about several towns that require open carry of all adult residents because they were areas with high crime rates, and since the laws passed there have been ZERO CRIMES in those towns. Where I live, almost everyone has a gun because a lot of people hunt.Where I come from these sort of quotes are used just to have a good laugh. Do you ignorant gun control freaks honestly think that criminals won't break the law to get guns?! THEY'RE FUCKING CRIMINALS!!!!! They won't follow the fucking law! Laws only affect law abiding citizens.
You use the word 'criminal' as if it's an evil type of human; a race or a gender. That's not true. The line between criminal/law abiding citizen (evil/good) is even non-existing, in my opinion. Usually when there's a shooting it's a random dude, could be your sincerely nice neighbour, just losing his mind from one moment to another, which turns him into a 'criminal'. Even those who are 'criminals' by career, like gangs and stuff, follow the law except for where it interferes with business. It's not "you follow the law or you don't". Lastly, career-type structural criminals have their own law, and most importantly a goal with no intention of 'doing evil', as far as evil exists.
The consequences of a gun ban:
- random dudes can't get guns. Drastic reduction of shootings.
- structural criminals probably will still have guns. But they won't shoot without reason; if a bank robber shoots a kid it's an accident and he will grief.
Don't see in black and white. That, in combination with power, is as dangerous as guns. -

Are you honestly and truly stooping that low to judge me because of my support for our MOTHERFUCKING CONSTITUTIONAL FUCKING RIGHTS?!?!?! In case you are wondering, no, my family does not own a fucking gun, but I'm fucking allowed to have an opinion without people thinking I'm some fucking white trash hillbilly!! I'm an honors student in high school, I'm a musician, never had alcohol or cigarettes or any fucking shit like that in my life, and I've only shot a gun once. So before you fucking judge, why don't you actually fucking think before you post!I know man. When I read this post, I can just imagine the most hilarious redneck voice.

False, there's no definitive correlation between gun ownership and crime rates. Furthermore, you have to define a crime. Some people would argue that shooting someone who broke into your home is still murder, especially if you didn't need to kill them (see this case, for instance, in which the man who shot the teens clearly went overboard--he did NOT need to kill them). Such an act is arguably legal on the basis of self-defense, but one could also make a very logical case that it is murder no matter what the circumstances.
Edit: By the way, guns are the easiest thing in the country to purchase on the black market, my friend saw an illegal gun sale happening in the middle of the street in Hawaii. Do you ignorant gun control freaks honestly think that criminals won't break the law to get guns?! THEY'RE FUCKING CRIMINALS!!!!! They won't follow the fucking law! Laws only affect law abiding citizens. Making guns illegal just prevents law abiding citizens from protecting themselves from criminals who get guns illegally.
And what about crimes committed by corporations, that knowingly violate safety codes to save money, which results in the deaths of their workers? Are these cases not murder cases? Why not? And if they are, we must figure those into crime statistics.
Your claims are not as simple as you like to think. You are also simply engaging in the illogical process of blaming the individual. There is a wide body of criminological evidence that proves that, although individual traits do play a role, this role is very small. -

lol you miss my other post?
"No, fuck you. This guy killed his father before walking on campus, walked into a kindergarten class, shot his mother(the kindergarten teacher), and shot innocent kids.
1. People like this don't give a fuck if every single person at the school is holding 300 grenades and 67 AK-47s.
2. Why would he be afraid if someone had a gun on campus, when he clearly didn't care if he died?
3. Fuck the constitution. This isn't 1787. The stupid rules are flawed, and America is extremely flawed.
4. He started by opening fire on a class with 1 female teacher and kindergarten students.
5. Most parents don't want their children going to a school with a ton of adults with guns on them.
Like I said earlier, we had someone with a knife stab 22 children a day ago in China. No one died. Today we had 18+ children die to someone with HANDGUNS and a rifle. Not an automatic rifle. Fuck guns. I'm sick of this nonsense.
Also, why are they interviewing children? What the fuck?
Also, they ruined someone's life by releasing the wrong name earlier. His facebook and twitter is being flooded by millions of hate mail. " -

Calm down man, I think we should be glad you're not carrying a gun at this moment. -

Your constitutional rights do not dictate that you can have an opinion without being judged. I'm not judging you, but I am pointing out that your constitutional rights only allow you to have your own opinion and to speak it out. If it were to restrict others from judging you based on it, then it would be violating its own principle. Are you honestly and truly stooping that low to judge me because of my support for our MOTHERFUCKING CONSTITUTIONAL FUCKING RIGHTS?!?!?! Also, I would like to note that our Constitution does not allow for the violation the fundamental right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" that our Constitution is based on. I don't care if you have the right to bear arms--that does NOT mean that you have the right to take another's life, period. So we need to reconsider what rights our Constitution grants us and how it grants them. -

You hit a very good point here, Liampie. A person is not simply a "criminal." If this were the case, why do these so-labeled "criminals" not violate all the laws? They may go on a shooting spree but that doesn't change the fact that they are law-abiding citizens 95% of their life. You use the word 'criminal' as if it's an evil type of human; a race or a gender. Given of how many dissenting examples there are, I think gun ownership has nothing to do with violent crimes. I think that it does not lower nor raise the crime rate. -

Not entirely true ,also quite a few criminals killed each other (competition is fierce ).
But ofcourse no one cares about that ,and you shouldn't ,but there are guns involved. -

I was talking about shootups, in which a lot of innocent people were killed, like in Alphen. I don't care about criminals killing each other. -

I's say the one thing proven here is your inability to have a rational debate. Congratulations.

Corkscrewy I wasn't going at you, everyones entitled to their opinions and it was at least eloquently put.
Anyway the problem I see is that America has too many guns to simply ban them. The whole right to bear arms is so ingrained in the American culture that it would be like removing Tea from the British or arrogance from the French (sorry cheap shot, couldn't resist )
I do wonder how many shootings on this scale it would take to make a difference. In the UK the Dunblane Massacre (not dissimilar to today's atrocity) was the one that changed things.
The point made about how easy it is to get a gun on the black market is pretty irrelevant, that's pretty much because its so easy to get guns anyway. If Guns were illegal and there were hardly any in the country then through simple supply and demand the price of a gun would go through the roof anyway making it pretty much impossible for Bill who's having a crap year to go and get one. -

What tha fuck
What is wrong with the USA, bragging about their "freedom" their great and worthless country has laws and rights that were outdated before one of us was even born. Owning a gun is and should be seen as a felony. A gun is a killing machine, no other way to look at it. They are not fucking toys.
The problem lays deeper than gun laws. I think it has something to do with the fact that no American sitizen is insured. so if they get robbed they have to protect their stuff the hard way. Since most people have a baseball bat or something to hit the burglar, the burglar prepares with bringing a gun. At that point the person who might get get robbed has to prepare by buying a bigger gun. and so on.
As someone said earlier, anyone can turn into a criminal under the wrong circumstances. And when there is a gun in your house, it makes it so much easier to just go and shoot everybody. instead of thinking twice.
And then you have semi or fully automatic weapons... they shouldn't be allowed to be in anyone's possession except in the army or something like that. No one should ever have something dangerous like that at home. You have the right to do anything you want. But the people who live around you also have the right to live safe and don't get shot in the head by accident. by someone who owns guns as a hobby. I don't have 14 different types of nukes laying around my house because that is my hobby.
I think it's clear. No one should ever be allowed to own a gun without a suiting job.
And to people who compare weapons with drugs. FUCK YOU. If you use drugs, you damage yourself. That is your own responsibility. I you use guns, you endanger everything and anyone around you. And that is BONKERS....
