^great idea. To the Admins, I can't nor haven't been able to vote in any poll whether here or at the H2H thread. I click and it just loads and says "error on page". Any ideas?
Did anyone see the Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner? Really funny one-liners from both sides. Cardinal Dolan (who I know personally) really hates Obama for his support of abortion and gay marriage (quite understandable, I can't blame him), he wouldn't even shake his hand after his speech. -

I voted for Obama in the primary last go around and I still regret it. Hilary would have been a great president.

Your approval is integral.

EDIT: never mind that, Milo. i came to the conclusion that your approval of my approval being integral is also integral.

So you dont support gay marriage?
I don't support gay marraige or abortion. Marriage, has been for over 2,000 years and should always be, a sacred union of a man and a woman. Let them do what they want, it's just an insult to call it a marraige. Why not a union or something along those lines? As for abortion, it's just another name for murder to a helpless person. -

The problem with pro-life viewpoints is that while they claim to be for the life of the fetus, they stop caring after the fetus is born. Basically, once the baby is out of the womb, the pro-lifers give the baby the middle finger and tell them to fend for themselves.
I read a facebook entry recently that solidified my position as pro-choice:
The mother was 15, posting on facebook comments like: "gawddddd mah doctor told me im preg, this f*king suxxxxx said i cant drink nemore well f*k him!!", etc.
The final post was "Friend A and Friend B convinced me to get an abortion!! yeaaaaa byebye baby!".
At first I was shocked at the state of our society that we have kids talking and thinking like this... then I realized: would I rather this girl give birth to this kid after a pregnancy full of drinking/smoking and other dangerous behavior? This sad, sad excuse of a person obviously has no right raising a child and has no idea what she is doing... I'm 100% glad she got an abortion and spared the innocent child a life of misery.
About the gay marriage thing, too bad there's this thing called a separation of church and state. It doesn't matter that marriage is a Christian tradition anymore since marriage licenses are given out in city halls and not in the church... since it is a legal right with government documentation NOT affiliated with the church, gays should have equal access.
I mean, if the sanctity of marriage is what you're calling into question then you should be more focused on the ridiculously high divorce rate amongst your straight comrades that make a mockery of this "eternal union" before you complain about the gays wanting equal rights in this secular society. -

I have always thougt it was weird that people in the US say they have a separation of church and state. Even your money disagrees.
Your laws don't have to be approved by the church (luckily) but your state is still widely influenced by the church.
The thing I do hate is when people use being christian as a reason to vote against abortion. I feel as if people who just are against abortion use it only as an excuse. Only the people who are every sunday in church, pray everyday, etc. may use being religious as an excuse to vote for/against something, imo. -

Usually there are better alternatives than abortion, and those should be above the use of abortion. I totally agree that that girl used in your example, Avanine, should not raise a child.
I guess my pro-life thoughts have to do with my affiliation being catholicism, or the fact i have a moral problem with the fact that babies are aborted in most cases by choice.
Totally support gay marriage tho, and it really is a battle between religion and secularism. I believe secularly on this -

We DO have a separation of church and state; our legislation proves this. I'm not questioning the influence of the Church as a cultural influence, since we do have puritanical root after all, but the Church is to have absolutely no direct political influence when it comes to government sanctioned matters. Marriage is included in this, which is why there is this fight for equality in the first place... those opposing gay marriage based on the argument of Christianity is in direct opposition to this.Usually there are better alternatives than abortion, and those should be above the use of abortion. The best alternative to abortion is chastity, which is pretty much impossible to achieve. Then it would be educating safe sex practice with contraceptives, which does work. When the baby in question is inevitable, however, the only real option is adoption. However, in my opinion I think that if abortion is banned, the number of orphans would skyrocket... also not an ideal situation. -

So you're saying that if a teenage girl is raped and gets pregnant, she should be forced to raise that child? Or if having the baby would kill her, she should have to die?I don't support gay marraige or abortion. imawesome, that's where you're wrong. It's proven that the female body has its ways to prevent herself from getting pregnant when raped.
I could not hold my laughter when typing this ridiculous statement.
