I'm making an oceanside restaurant for my park, and I'm trying to make part of the eating area on a wooden deck. The problem I'm having is getting tables on there. I tried using invisible path and zero-clearancing but the path didn't even show up when I had my cursor over it so there's no way of getting benches on it. This is what I'm working with to give you a reference picture.

Help is very much appreciated.
Edit: Sorry about the icons, I don't know how to get rid of them. -

You have to separate the paths with fences to quarantine them, and then, when you go to place the benches, you have to use turn on indicators of path height and click on those. -

Build invisible path using zero-clearance and enable "show height on path". Then select the benches and click on the height marker on the invisible path and the benches will be built. First build the path and benches and afterwards build the deck, because otherwise it would glitch too much. -

I usually separate the grid on which i want the tables with fence. Build path in the spaces, then add the benches. Once you have the benches, you can remove the fences. The problem is if you build paths near those, or change the path type it will connect your grid, removing benches on those sides. Thus, its better to completely do any work before removing the fences. Also don't forget that zero clearances will mess with your fences.
Hadn't heard of the height marker trick, that will be useful.

It's not working. I can only get benches on 2 sides of the path. I'm trying to do 2x1 tables with benches making a rectangle around it with a total of six benches per table. But on the side where the path continues the bench doesn't show up there. I am separating the areas with fences. Am I doing something wrong or am I trying to do something that can't be done? Is the 2x1 table idea not do-able? -

Screens would be helpful. But I could just tell you how I do it, and I normally don't run into problems. I separate the paths that are going to be tables with fences, then zero the clearances, and add the scenery. After the tables are complete I restore the clearances and delete the fences and don't even touch the pathed areas that are around the path with the table on it. -

Make the path with the tables above the normal path and lower it with MOM. Should help. -

I tried using the method you guys said on a different project but it's not working this time. I used fences but only 3 benches are showing up. I'm doing the exact same thing I did with the other project so I don't know why it's not working. I'm using 8cars version 1.302. -

If I don't use zero clearances when I'm building the paths then it will make the fences disappear. -

... No. Not in RCT2.
EDIT:
Done in about 15 seconds, no trainer used. The only difference would be if you're using invisible paths, in which case just use "Show height markers on paths" when placing the benches. -

The problem I'm having is that only 3 benches are showing up on some sides. Even with the fences separating the path in a grid.

It still isn't working. It doesn't matter which I use zero clearance to put, fences or path, it doesn't work. Maybe my 8cars has just gone bad but it worked perfectly fine for everything else so far. -

Restore clearances before you do it. Raise the land, delete all the paths and fences and try it again. -

It still doesn't work. I've tried everything you guys have suggested and it doesn't work. I downloaded the 8cars from a link you posted Xtreme so it's not the problem. I'm really lost. -

Did you use zero clearances? Because you don't need that until you're placing the actual tables. -

I had Xtreme97 fix it, but I'm gonna run into this problem again. The problem I was having was that on some path sections, only 3 benches were showing up and some I couldn't place them at all. It didn't matter what I did, I couldn't fix it. But I HAVE to use zero clearance to make either the fence or the path. If I make the path first, I won't be able to put the fences on top of it without ZC. If I make the fences first, I won't be able to put the path without ZC.
