Totally agree with J K. Threatening with a lawsuit is NOT how you solve a personal problem with someone on an internet forum. That's just pathetic. Try to talk it out like a grown up.

I hate to be someone to continue this conversation further as I'd happily just let it die so we can just get on with RCT, what we are actually here for, but the fact is that this was said:

to initiate a lawsuit against you and the site you represent for libel.

I'd like to point out that you are not just threatening the admins of the site, but you are threatening the entire community by iniating a lawsuit against the site.

I know that a lot of people come here to view great RCT and celebrate a game that is over 10 years old. This site itself is 10 years old and holds a place in many people's hearts, no matter how many people say that 'this is just a game', this community makes the game so much more than just that.

I understand that things have been said, I personally don't know what, but taking action against the site is taking it too far.

By threatening the site with a lawsuit for libel there is the possibility that the site will end up disappearing for good, after a fantastic 10 years, and that would be all down to you. NE would be no longer and I know a great deal of people wouldn't be too happy about that, regardless of whether this is 'just a game' or not.

Jesus. The overall amount of butthurt is too damn high.

Louis, I don't think Kong cares if he were to take down the site, in fact I think he'd view it as an achievement.

Cena never threatened to take action against the site itself, just the people in charge. And either way, the point is still valid that it's destroying a well established, and usually positive community.

Trav I agree closing the site would make people realise that there is more to life than trolling a forum with useless bullshit but why let them win? We have time on our side being the fact that the guys who have been here the longest are entitled to call the shots a lot more than the newer guys. That's how it always went back in the day and we've lost a sense of that in the past few years. I know I'll be speaking up in future a lot more than usual so the admins aren't the ones having to get all the shit.

It's not letting them win, I'd like to think of it more as rehabilitation.

Fred, Kong did try to solve this privatly but posix threw it out in the open, how hard is it to correct a post? personal pride is one thing, but being stubborn about something you can't factually prove is just a s wrong as sueing in my book...

No, I'd realise that it's online, on a site where very few people actually know who I am, and noone knows me well enough that I would ever confess anything like that, and I would convince my (non-existent)girlfriend that I didn't cheat on her because if it wasn't true, I wouldn't be acting guilty.

However, I don't know whether I can believe you on this statement due to some recent developments you and I both know about. I sent you a PM about this and would like an honest answer. As of now, I have no problems with you and won't go into it in depth in this topic, but I dó hope you will respond to my statement and will do so in the reasonable and honest tone you've shown in the post I've quoted here. For me, I have no beef with you, and I hope you can say the same after reading my PM. If not we'll just have to agree to disagree I guess.
